Q:

Goofing off with the R3 25 long

I had a little free time yesterday so, I got the R3 25 cal long version out and did some shooting out of my kitchen window. I shot these groups at 25 yards. I wasn’t really concentrating; I was more just blasting away.

I still had some extra time so I got out some .090” thick matches out and tried hitting them. Before this video, I had tried 22 rim fire shells and they were no challenge. I then tried fire place matches that measured .150 thick. You can see some of them still standing. They were too easy also.

I need to find something with a smaller OD.

Looks to be great fun! I line up pellets at forty yards. When you’ve got confidents in your air gun you can just about do anything. Great shooting Tedd.

Great fun! I made this in the summer and my average score was 13 out of 15 at 50 m (55 yards). I got 14 down once πŸ˜€ but never all 15. It will be my challenge come the Spring. The important thing is to keep the matchsticks as short as possible so you are sure there are no ‘low ball’ hits πŸ˜†

Tedd targets look great, even at closer range you can always tell when a gun is going to do well! Please be careful with those neighbors! if they are drugies you never know what the hell they would do! Any way you can get rid of them? other than have me come over with my back hoe and dig a hole!

OK on the challenge.

Now, let’s get back to Edguns!

Ahum… EDguns

OK on the challenge.

I don’t really want to shoot them in my house. I think that the 240 grain jacketed hollow points would go thru him/them and thru a couple of walls. I would have one hell of a mess to clean up and I would have to patch and paint some walls.

Maybe I should buy a 9 mm Glock and keep it under my pilow or try to hurry up Ed on the semi auto 25 long version.

Now, let’s get back to Edguns!

hehe.. I hope one thing: you never have to use those Mr Smith and Ms Wesson!!

Second of all.. yes and I even think it’s called EDgun.. πŸ™‚

And third of all: ok no problem at 70 yards challenge.. But wait until my house is constructed, then i have even +150 yards πŸ™‚

Kazzz, you are absolutely right! After living here for 7 years, I had my truck gone thru late Thursday night early Friday morning and the contents were strewn all about the insides.

I didn’t want the perps to come back, break into the house and steal my Edguns! I have a rental property next door and the land lord has recently rented it to some low life’s that sell crack.

That’s right; I currently live next door to a crack house! The cops don’t seem to care! People are in and out of that place all day and night! 😯

I work second shift and I didn’t want my house broken into and my Edguns stolen so, I bought a 500 lb gun safe. I have an appliance cart but, the safe was too heavy for my GF and I to get it over the threshold of my front door!

I called a buddy and asked him for some help. He said that he would be by in about a half hour. I had 30 minutes free, what would you do with the time?

I come by every night during my lunch just to see if my house has been broken into.

I really hope that the perps wait till I am at home and in bed. I would love to introduce them to my 2 best friends: Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson with their model #29 44 magnum with a 8 3/8” barrel. Just think of the first 2 Dirty Harry movies and you have got it!

How many .090”, 3.5 mm matches could you hit in a row at 70 yards? πŸ˜†

And Kazzz, it is splled Edgun, NOT edgun. PLEASE show some respect to Ed and his fantastic products or you might not be able to ever get on the list again!

I feel a challange brewing here! .090″ matches at 70 yards! πŸ˜†

OG…. 25 yards with an edgun????
I hope you did it blindfolded..?? Otherwise I would give the gun to a little girl of 5 years and she does the job also πŸ™‚
This is not a test, and you know it too πŸ™‚
Test it on > at least 70 yards!

sweet. I just played with mine too =)

Endo, I was messing around with the scope windage adjustments.

I love the Hawke 6.5-20 X 40 Tactical but, getting them sighted in can cause problems sometimes. When you move the POI, it can sometimes slightly shift over the next few shots. It can mess you up trying to get it set but, once set, the poi seems to stay the same.

I have the scope set for 50 yards and I was having to hold under 1 mill to hit where I wanted.

Great shooting, Tedd.
I noticed that the elevation is very consistent, but the POI moved either left or right in some groups. Effect of wind or tube pressure?
Regards,
Endo
