Q:

How to DECREASE power in valve

Hi , I want to modify my second Condor Hi-flo valve to DECREASE power as much as possible. The best would be if it would give like only 10-12 fpe (on max power setting, .22cal ) without changing anything else (like hammer spring, hammer weight).

Is that possible? has anyone did something like this? Or knows what should be modified in valve?

ATTA BOY!….. 😉

The sollution i did was as on pics below. A friend made for me new screw with a threded hole to screw in nozzle of my choice. De best was nozzle with 0.25mm hole this reduced fpe form over 50 to 19 fpe. As i needed less than 12 fpe I reduced the energy with top hat. This reduced the energy to only 9-10 fpe even if the power wheel is set to max pwr.

you may even want to buy a micrometer valve, then. itll take a lot of doing to get an hpa setup in 22 with a long barrel down that low.

Im looking for like max 10-12fpe in .22 cal with 24 inch barrel on one valve in one bottle and like 40-50 fpe on second valve in second bottle. So to just change the bottle and have low or high power. Would prefer air not co2

thats the one. tony makes em, you may want to tighten it up a bit to improve closing(bernoullis principle, i think?) or couple it with a standard talon or micrometer stem.

what sort of performance in what caliber with how much barrel are you lookin for again?

(depending on climate, co2 is a vey good option too)

How bout tryin co2 ?

You mean the part marked red? That was one of the ideas i had. But was not sure how much differance will it do. Maby i will ask someone with precise tools to make me a replacement brass screw with like 0,5mm hole 🙂
I will soon have second valve with second bottle and i want to have one on low power

inside the valve there is a return spring to assist in valve closing.

this sits on a brass screw through which air flows. if the hole is restricted, not as much air will pass, resulting in lower power.

this is more of a semi- permanent change, however, and not the way to go if you want to quickly return to higher power.

restrictive spring retainer?

moneyshot could you pls explain this ? my English is not that good to know what you mean. Wchic spring do you have in mind?

restrictive spring retainer?

quote lupii:

The oring is a good idea i will have to try this, but as for the pressure i need it to be independent from pressure, and have max of 10-12 fpe with 3000psi in tank (if thats possible 😉 )

Regulate it down.

All you have to do is put a o-ring behind the top hat and close the gap, or just fill your tank to 500 psi. If you do both it will shot just like a Red Ryder.
