Q:

Anyone have a shot string for a FX Royal in .22cal???

Hello all,

I’m reaching for another air rifle and I’m hoping someone would be kind enough to post some shot strings for the Royal and what weight pellet they used.

Thanks for the help.

I am now leaning more towards the Rapid MKII .25cal 50ft/lb version.

So much info that I’ve read and the Rapid seems to be the one to go for.

I could go for the AR 80ft/lb but moderators are not legal in Canada

Cheers

I have been craving for a new rifle for sometime now.

Really wanted regulated Royale 400 .22 and now the option is available.

I will be ordering mine shortly =) (scope already on its way)

Cant wait to compare it to my Matadors =)

ROC,

All good choices, I looked at all three when I got mine, my descision was that Ben Theoben, the great god of the Air Rifle, had created the Royale 400 last of all, but honestly you can’t go wrong with any of those choices.

Thanks RC,

Exactly what I was looking for, the bell curve. Those number are good, fairly flat for a non reg.

FYI, I’m thinking .22 Royal, Air Ranger 60ftlb .22 cal or the Rapid .25 cal 50ftlb

I have not written down the string for mine, it starts at 890 goes up to 910 and then back to 890 in around 60 shots. I have had it up to close to 950 FPS, but it was louder and not as accurate.

I ran a 5 magazine shot string thru it a while back after turning it down, but I did not write it down. I shot full magazine groups, the smallest was .20 the largest I blieve was just over .50, the average was .33 for 5 12 shot groups, all at 36 yards with 18.1 grain Exacts.

If you get a regulated one, it will do 80 shots, mine is unregulated.

There is a string on the Yellow right now about a regulated Royale 400. The Regulator is 220 bucks more, some question its value on the 22, on the Royale 500 it definately worth it.

It is a great rifle, and inherently accurate, and very easy to shoot and hit with. The magazine takes a little getting used to.
