Q:

New paint on the Customized Discovery!

well I Finally got her painted and ready to hunt ( ALMOST)
I had t make a Makeshift Barrel band for now used a couple pieces of Pex tubing and my dremel and a metal fork handle
I drilled 2 holed in the middle of both and also the fork and used grub screws to secure them in place
then used a grub screw to hold it solid to the shroud and then a hose clamp to make sure it doesent come apart
I had an aluminum one made and it was shipped out today but in the mean time I am good to go with it
here she is I think it will blend well with many different types of cover!

never did get set up the deal fell through o the lathe
oh well
now I go into the local hardware store and just browse looking for things that I can turn into parts LOL
Pex tubing turned out to be a perfect match for now!

Good going Crow! I go to these home improvement stores all the time, and start looking around, and they ask me if I need help so one day I asked them if they made any thicker wall pvc for my baffles inside my shroud, here is the look I got 😯 😯 I am always looking for things that can be used in those type of stores!! Did you ever get set up with a lathe and mill before you moved? I was thinking you either did or was thinking about it?

Lol fork handle worked perfect and was exact right down to the thousandth for thickness. It is not pretty but it works as designed i really need a mill and a lathe

Looks pretty damn nice, good job.

A fork handle? Thats backwoods engineering right there. :thumb:
