take the closest size allen you have and supper glue the damn thing to the screw, (make sure you don’t use too much and make things worse for your self) let it set up over night then remove the screw. once you have it out take it to the store and get the right replacement with a good head in the right size on it.

if that doesn’t work talk to Blodnob or baz, they can be p/med here in the form, and if you need some abuse talk with pablouk or get ahold of leupy, here is a link to him http://www.leupyscustomshop.co.uk/

I’m sure one of these guys can work something out for you

yes it is .050 🙂

quote pablouk:

Get yourself a standard comprehensive Allen set. Then you can find the right one!! You are officially a bitch if you don’t have one. Same goes for spanners, screwdrivers etc.
If none of those work then the hex is probably stripped smooth. Go in with appropriate tool that bites and ease it out.

😀

Edit- Just spotted you are UK. Where abouts are you?
Double edit- Those crazy fuckin’ Yanks still use that Imperial shit we left them!! Make sure you get Imperial Allens.

Bless ’em 😆

Haha I must have about 3 different sets of allen keys whole sets and non fit? Is the size definitely 0.050?

New to all this, can I get a tophat made with bigger locking screws? The “one in mine seems abit flimsy tbh anyway!! Who’s the best person to contact in the uk for parts mate? Can you pm me cheers 😆

i dunno, ive had little success with extractors.

for that much, get a new TH from AF or tony…

If it’s stripped, get a reverse threaded extractor. If this has you stumped, you bought the wrong gun! 🙄

btw… .05 inch is the proper size. get an extra screw, use a good CA glue to hold a bite with wrench, cure, and turn…

I wish I could, but I do not know the answer to your question. Try looking way back in the archives of the “Quick Reference” section. Search key words like tophat screw, or allen screw etc. If all else fails, buy a several close in size in standard and metric. Take the one you have with you to compare. Good luck.

Can anyone help?

The size is 0,05″

Just nipped out and got a set with 0.05 and it is to small? Any ideas?
cheers

Maybe blue threadlock. If that doesn’t hold it step it up to red threadlock.
