Q:

barrel bushes – drill holes in both or just one

As above really, which do you find quieter? Both barrel bushe faces drilled or just the one and hole many holes, what size holes etc etc?

Any info on this would be V helpful! Seen pics on talontunes and wondered what the benefits are?

Ha ha! But it worked lol did the noise itself change or was it just noticeably quieter?

The first one I did I did with a hand drill, it looked like a rat had chewed holes in it 😳 , but it worked.

Thanks mate. All the info i needed right there.

yep, only do the one that is closes to the muzzle, the trick is to get the biggest holes and the most you can get it with still keeping the bushing sound. remember to stay away from the grub screws, and counter sinking them a bit helps with flow.

it’s best to use a drill press, and even then the bit wants to wander sometimes 😳

Cheers, so i guess its ok to vent the far one nearest the end of the barrel?
Im wondering what size holes are best and how many to do

If you vent the breech end bushing, you will be blowing graphite back into your firing mechinism.

I think Tony has some pictures of the propper way to vent a bushing on his site.
