My New Condor SS with home made Baffels
here it is tell me what you think and any ideas on how to make it quiter i have only had this gun for a week.

I used some .975″ diameter x 2″ long springs (weak hammer springs cut down) and some 1″ washers or bushings, similar to your setup and it works great. I had problems with the washers tipping and getting clipped (probably from my less than square spring ends), so wound up with 1″x3/8″x3/8″ bushings available from lowes. Here are my sound measurements 5ft back behind the shooter at head level in my cellar with my Talon SS on medium power (chp 830fps):
No Cap: 100 db
End Cap only: 88 to 90db
Springs & Bushings: 78 db
It is cool to hear the spring twang, knowing that it is buffering the sound. Not mouse-fart quiet, but much quieter than I fart and nearly backyard friendly. I am going to pickup some better springs with squarer ends to add a few more bushings.

I have one of these. Apparently made by a guy no longer on the board but its excellent at quieting things down. I have one on my 12″ Condor and its whisper quiet, all you hear is the hammer slap.

the set up you have going won’t allow you to add any felt or magic eraser(not sure what that stuff is) when people add felt or scotch bright is when they are using hair curlers or smaller spacers with holes in them to absorb turbulence
Looks good, nice conversion. I played around using the washers & copper crimp rings, but didn’t see enough improvement. I ended up going with one of Subssonic’s inserts to keep the short stock length and one of Tony’s LDCs for super stealth. If you’re looking to make your gun as quiet as possible, you’ll have to go with one of Tony’s, Greg’s (subssonic), Scott’s (GTBJ)..
Thanks GTBJ i seen the vented bushings on talontunes.com wast thinking of getting one. Now someone said to put magic eraser in there isnt that going to be like to post with the guy that said something about felt washers?? Dosent seen like a good idea. But im new to this. this is my first pcp so i look to you guys for info lol. now the baffels they are very tight in there i have to push on the SS end cap hard to get it where the set screw goes in lol when i thougt ok thats tight i added one more washer and o ring lol and there is no room for anything to shift its a pretty tight fit lol but i will keep my eye on it. you’re on the right path for sure 😉
just make sure everything is tight in there and that there is no chance of clipping by something shifting, perhaps some thicker o-rings to compress and lock everything
you can vent the bushing to help out a bit. I personally am not a fan of venting the frame, the jury is still out on if it helps or if it actually adds to the sound, and once you have vented the frame the warranty is done for… just some food for thought.
Is the frame vented? That seems to be a pretty common thing to do to decrease noise. Also some magic eraser inside the baffles absorbs sound fairly well.

yes its the new spin lock design they now have tanks with quick conects and gauges

Have you gone through the shrouds and moderators section of this forum? If you go back through that section you will see many different solutions guys have tried. It’s about volume, redirecting the air blast, and sound deadening materials…I think. 😉 Owning a lathe and knowing some machining skills helps too. Good luck! 😀
