Q:

Frame for the Condor drop in kit

Hi . I am new here – just joined . Got a condor ,25 drop in kit from TT alongwith a tophat and breech with hammer slap mod & a shroud too.
Can I drop this in a Talon frame as its 4′ shorter than the SS or condor .Will I get the same velosities/power as the condor or do I need further mosds for this. And yes I have a TT shroud too with this its about 15.5″ will this fit on the Talon or do I need to get a SS or condor frame for this.

Thanks roachcreek appreciate the advice .

Or just buy a new Condor, shoot it for a year or so, if you have those parts, you can put them in as you learn about your rifle and how it works.

Honestly do you think I should just go buy a fully tuned condor rather ask so many questions .

tophat fits in the breech… 😛

So that means it better to use a condor frame . Where does the top hat fit in ?

No that shroud will not work on the Talon frame, you have more barrel sticking out of the end of the frame. Depending on the internal construction of the shroud, you would have to shorten the barrel to get it to work

You will need the weight or a hammer that is as heavy as the weighted Condor hammer to open your Condor valve.

Thanks guys for the replies but will the shroud work on the Talon ? Its a 15.5 ” shroud can this be use with a 24′ barrel on the Talon . I am told the 15.5 inch shroud works on the condor will it work on the Talon as well.
Also do I need to use a hammer weight on the Talon ?Appreciate inputs on this please.

Jkam,

Yes by all means you can.

I am pulling out 120 FPE from a Talon frame with a 17 inch unchoked barrel using 57 grain cast LBT bullets.

I am using Tagdaggers valve parts, a RL valve stem and a .80 wire hammer spring powering a cut down barrel riding hammer of 95 grams.

It makes a very handy accurate long range carbine.

The Talon on top produces 120 FPE, the Condor rifle below also a 25 produces 53 FPE

I din’t see why not, only thing is maybe a 95 grm. hammer for more power.
