I taped a piece of butcher paper between the 2 upright difusers and hung a 100w light bulb about 6″ over the butcher paper and BAM. Worked like a charm. 5 cent fix.

Try this for your existing crony. Very. cheep and easy to make. Send that one down range and get a Pro chrono at the muzzle and you can get you BC’s.

Make sure that there are no florescent bulbs or strip lights, because they are a flashing light they mess up the chrony readings.

In all my use of my shooting chrony, thousands upon thousands of shots, I can say ive had less than 20 errors, I just set it up without the overhead screens and it just works

I recently bought a ProChrono Digital. Haven’t been able to shoot outside because of the wind. Indoors, the thing is pickeeee! Have tried many lighting combinations, and occasionally get a shot to record. Hope the ProChrono works consistantly outside. If not, it’s practically worthless.

Buy the the lighting kit for it. I never have a problem inside with it. It’s inferred.

All chronos are picky about indoor lighting.

I’ve got the green chrony…can’t remember the model name. I don’t know how it compares to other chronies but the one thing I really like is the remote display. That allows me to put the thing down range and then put a 4×4 in front of it so I don’t shoot it…

I love my Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital, They got a Chrony at the paintball field where I take my kid and the thing sucks, half the time it doesn’t even give a reading. Shit Can that POS like SteveinLA said 😆

Shit can that POS! I’m so pleased that I found the Competition Electroics ProChrono Digital model. Now I rarely ever get error messages. It is so much more user friendly. It gives up to 99 shot strings. I really like my ProChrono Digital model. 😉

Read my sig. I’ve shot everything from a 17hmr, 22LR, condor, TSS, and IZH46M without fault.

I only use mine without the cover screens, at 20 feet, in the shade and without lights or on cloudy days.

Works well for me that way, but the rear sensor housing has taken a few hits and is getting chipped up a bit, I ordered a plexy glass shield for it and will need to rebuild the rear sensor housing with some JB Weld aka., the answer to most anything.

Roachcreek

error2 is the second sensor error, ive been working with and it was my fault, and being partly cloudy, it clouded over and it’s working much better, just got to pick my days better

Sort out some lighting. Error 2 is either first sensor not tripped or second sensor not tripped, I can’t remember but it is in the manual

Dave

Make sure battery is new

Be sure to have the muzzle back far enough that the blast does not mess up the sensors.

try and mount some lights to it, they are touchy without good light on the sensors
