Q:

Just got a mrod!

Hey you yellow belly Roach Creek.

Your elitist views on pcps have lead me to buy another one.

Except not from the Carner Store, called AOA because I wont support them if I can.

I got a re crowned, trigger adjusted .22 mrod proven to be a shooter with kodiaks, for a steal.

But the thing is the stocks are FUGLY so Im going to work reshaping and bedlinering the original one when I get it.

But where to get another improved stock…
That isnt made from some fancy wood?
Anyone know a stock maker willing to make a stock out of sturdy piece of wood that I could bedliner, and dip?

And any thoughts on aftermarket accesories, hdd, resvoir extension, regulator?

Thanks

Backyard, many mods on my .22 the first one should be HDD
Tj my P-rod avg. .5″@35yds w/ftt and have heard Daystate 15grHE
do even better(expensive though)or you could try another barrel
less than $20 I think.they might even send one for free.
regards,mark

Wok,

Your Avator has an incorrect heading under it.

RC

I now have 2 Great Mrods and a Prod Out of the box, Maybe I’m lucky. They held tight groups at 40yds, one seems to love any thing I feed it. the other loves the copper plated.

I do think that Crosman tried to blow smoke up someones ass, when the Prod came out and said it’s a 40 yd. and under. More like 25yds. and under. Which is what I got it for. I expected that.

I understand roach, thats why Im buying it used. So I dont get a lemon.
Ive seen guys that arent idiots get .22 that shoot like a shotgun load on paper, yet be adressed like they are doing something wrong.

Wok, yep Im getting it from him. Hes already adjusted the trigger, replaced orings, depinged it, and re crowned the barrel. For less than the price of a mrod from pyramyd, with shipping!
Im a happy man.

Also Wok can we have a pikture of some women on top of the off topic? 😀

My problem with the MRod is the inconsistant barrels and Crosmans approach to them. The rash is complicated by the Crosman whores on the yellow who accuse the owners of bad shooting Mrods of not knowing how to shoot, not cleaning their barrels, using the wrong pellets and anything whatsoever besides addressing the main cause, Crosman uses inconsistant barrels.

If you get one that shoots well, it usually is a great rifle. The stock can be fixed by two things, Paypal and a screwdriver.

Ya, well its proven to be a shooter.

Im buying it from John in PA, and it likes the kodiaks the best which is good.

Thats one thing about the mrod that I like though roach.
I like to customize, over just whipping out of the box a air arms.

I had plans for my bsa but I sold that since AOA screwed me over…

Just like I prefer a mustang gt over many cars that after parts, I would pay the same for.
Its not that its all that bad, but I can make a LOT of changes that make the car mine, and smoke idiots out of the water.

If that is the John in PA that tunes guns then you will be getting a nice one

Backyard,

Michael CHavka makes the best looking reasonaly priced replacement stocks for the M Rod and the Disco, but they are a thing of beauty that should not be bedlinered.

With a good barrel or a Marmotmiltia replacement and a Chavka or Cocoran stock the M Rod would be a very good PCP.

Problem is all the ugly or onfunctional Crosman shit you have to unbolt and throw away, then replace puts the price up there with a AA 510.

Enjoy.
