Q:

My rifles

Got it!
a big thanks to Alex, top bloke!
Fine tuned to be safely UK legal (and managed to clip the crono as I thought the barrel was 1/2″ higher then it was!)
Now waiting for my scope to arrive… 👿

you can see it, aside my AA TDR, with neoprene silencer and reservoir cover, as well as high speed camera settings. ( I had to increase the diameter of the stock pipe, to avoid attaching it to the scope. this way it doesn’t press on the optics, and most importantly…I can reload, as it was previosly on the way).
(thanks to Ed Holdover for the tip on the camera settings)
enjoy!

Why not ? You’d be at exactly at the right level.
I didn’t marry until I met my wife which is also a tall woman. Until then, I had only much smaller women, who I either kissed or fucked. Never both actions in the same time. The smaller ones are cheaper to support tho… I always bought them clothes from the children’s department.

To find the centre for drilling:
Use the caliber with the numbers facing the buttstock, mark a little line at “zero”.
Then use the caliber with numbers facing the front, again mark “zero” with a line.
The centre is exactly in the middle of the two lines you drawed.
Repeat for each hole.
This is a trick kindly suggested by my father.
Use marking tape, and a fine tipped marker.
do not mark the wood, the hole can be drilled with the masking tape in place.
Dept of hole 1cm, doesn’t need to be any deeper, although you have 1″ in total before you exit feom the other side!
Buy good quality rails, don’t go for the 5$ ones on the bay.
Cheers

Thanks guys.
The screws are directly drilled into the stock, holding tight.
The sling is very functional. I didn’t want to drill a stud on the buttstock so i gave it a try, and to me, works better than the 2 point traditional one.
You pass it around the neck on the opposite shoulder and it keeps the gun pushed to your armpit, in a ready to fire position.

Yes hoot, i was looking for black screws and couldn’t find them. Not that the rail is visible during normal use, but yes ill paint them black with a marker!

I wish she wasn’t a foot taller than me.

Hoot – It’s true, you make me laugh every time too which… Incidentally it has been a very long time since I’ve been on this forum!

Yoda – That looks awesome! You did a great job! And you’re right, I have the Hawke and it is a tad heavy but it seems to be very much recommended.

Quick question – What is the preferred scope base folks are using with the Edgun (Hawke or not)?
I could post a separate thread (and don’t mean to thread jack) but it I think this could be answered rather quickly.

BTW HOOT – My girlfriend (in the avatar) sends her regards and told me to tell you not to mix the viagra with the heart medicine next time we come to visit you!!

did you screw those directly into the stock, or did you use those brownells stock inserts i saw suggested on here a while back?

I was thinking of putting in a swivel and using the blackhawk swivel stud rail adapter. I have one of those on another rifle and like it.

thanks

I’d put a dab of flat black paint on the screw heads so they blend in nicely with the mount.

Very nice, and funcional piece of work.

How does that single point attachment sling work in actual usage? Do you like it, or is it simply the best way to sling a bullpup? I’ve never seen one in actual use.

New pics:

1) A Bauer picatinny rail 120mm lenght. (it is perfectly centered although you can’t tell in the pics).
I decided against the single stud, as the picatinny is much more versatile, and it is much sturdier as it is secured with 4 screws (the pull is distributed evenly and not pivoting in a single place as a stud would do.

2) harris style bipod (borrowed from another gun of mine, the definitive bipod will be a leapers UTG TL-bp28S.)
A one point attachment camo sling is attached to it. Very comfortable to shoulder, helps offsetting some weight when shooting standing up.

Hoot, you always make me laugh! 😆 Cant wait to get an edgun, maybe ill try the eyes closed method, it will make me shoot better im sure. P.S. whats in the water down there in Ark.

Just keep your mouths shut….I’m still making a few bucks locally with that modified eyelid!!! 🙄

Now you don’t have the kids to support 😛

hoot,

i can’t believe you open your lens covers before shooting. that’s not sporting.

I have to admit….I punched a pinhole in the cover first, so it wouldn’t be so obvious to on-lookers. But as I got older I simply accepted the fact that I’m not the shooter I used to be.

Still, even as a young man, I cheated! I paid a doctor good money to cut a pinhole in my left eyelid so I could see the target with my eyelids apparently shut. I won a lot of money that way….not sporting I know….but I had a wife and three kids to support, not to mention beer, whores, and pellet rifles!!!

I Really like the hawke scope that ive noticed most of you use, however i have a small built and most importantly im lazy, the hawke weights 750gr vs 500gr of the bushnell.
Don’t know how this translates to oz or lbs, but i have held the matador+ hawke For 2 minutes and i realized i would have needed to resume going to the gym..
No way!
At 32fp lbs power, however i would need more than 15x for sure…

hoot,
