A coworker gave me his 342 today to do a reseal, see what I can tune on it, and he was also wanting the paint removed and the brass polished. I am wondering what the best way to go about removing the paint would be, do you all think just using brasso and elbow grease would be best, or would something else be better?

I am unfamiliar with the airplane stripper so I did a quick google and it looks and sounds like it’ll work great as well as I should be able to find some locally, so im going to give it a try and I’ll be sure to let ya all know how it goes
that’ll do it. just make sure that any stripper you decide to use is completely cleaned off before you reassemble the gun. that shit’ll eat up o-rings.
what about airplane stripper? Not sure if it will work, but worth looking into.
Brasso probably won’t touch the paint. use that for polishing. paint thinner on a soft rag would be your best choice, the type used on enamel paint, not lacquer thinner.
