Modified delrin breech = larger barrel thickness at breech
Could the delrin breech be modified so it takes a whole .25 cal barrel blank without being turned down to .308/.308 inch ?

I did keep the barrel 8,3mm at that end. Just to have a bit more strength around the breech. 7.8mm works fine btw.
Ah right okay, sadly the blank will have to be machined.
I was trying to get around machining the barrel blank, by getting a modified breech. Since you told me that won’t work im out off ideas. Basically it was thinking out loud.
What are you trying to overcome here?
If you are trying trying to thicken the walls because they seem thin to you, then that’s fine. The .22 barrel has .044″ walls so you could replicate that and have the breech and barrel cut to 0.338″ but that would mean the barrel machining and also the breech.
There are many members on the forum using the standard breech measurements, me included, and also AF with no problems

That is what I was thinking. Is there some middle way of getting thicker barrel walls to bigger breech ID?
Do you mean that you would have the ID of the breech be the same size as a barrel blank?
Then no, you would get a tank dump every shot because the air pushing against the face of the thich barrel walls, would have an equal force pushing against the valve stem keeping the valve open. It would also induce a huge amount of dead volume resulting in low power
