I will have to get some 100 y groups. I shot some when I visited my daughter at a little over 50 y and one you could cover with a quarter. Was with Jerry’s 118 gr. Shot knealing with one knee on the ground and elbow on the other knee.
I personally don’t care about noise. I would love to have a threaded barrel for a nice custom muzzle brake…
My main concern—even more than fpe—would be how does it shoot. What kind of groups at 100 yards with what ammo, etc.?
So what are they worth if I was to build more just like mine?
I’m making a different valve that should make 250-260 fpe on 3200 psi with 171 gr. I know it will shoot 118 gr around 900 fps. Last night on med power setup up(.080″ tophat)I got 848 fps with 171 gr on 3300 psi and 935 fps with 118 gr on 3100 psi. It shoots 118 gr around 910 fps with 3000 psi fill.
With tophat at .104″ it has shot 171 gr with 3300 psi at 874 fps for 290 fpe. I haven’t shot the other weights through with this setup. The problem with this setup is air consumption. So if you were going hunting it would be fine. If you are just shooting the extra 30 fps is not worth the air or the extra noise it makes. It goes from boom to BOOM.
These are all with my current setup, 103 gr hammer and 3.5″ 13 lb hammer spring. The valve I have now makes more power but is not to user friendly and gave me many days of frustation. It works great now.
As far as price goes, it would depend on if you want it with a shroud of not. I’m still working on the shroud setup. With just a empty can it knocks it down from a canon to something you might be able to shoot in your back yard.

Found out what it is. Still not interested. It’s just a over sized pellet gun. Still only making 120 fpe on a pellet. I think it will be hard to use slugs with a magazine. Pellets don’t like to shoot far like slugs. I will stick with a .308 condor. Anybody want a custom .308 condor making at least 260 fpe?

Thanks for the positive input gy. I have only heard of dissatisfied owners of Evanix guns who have returned them. One of my friends has one that he has heavily modified and I believe that he likes it. He however, lives in another country far from here, so I haven’t tried it. I would enjoy trying a select fire .25 cal air rifle, but I don’t want to go through all of the hassle of buying one and maybe having to return it, etc.. So, seriously, thanks for the positive review. Feel free to post pictures and/or video.

With all the negatives I see in this thread, I wonder if you folks are forgetting what ground-breakers the Evanix rifles are? For @ $1500 you can get a select-fire .25 caliber gun that is not just offering full auto, but really good accuracy as well. My .22 Speed is my favorite air gun, and I’ve been through plenty of ’em. You know how that goes right? 🙂
How much of that price is mark-up? I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to hear PA is has something to do with the inflated prices.
yeah… they sure do have better quality over the us guns… still, i can’t see how it can jump to $2000. that’s just insane.

Agree with both of you. Between the Evanix and Daystate, it would be the Daystate.
But both are TOO FUCKING expensive and i’m not in the market for either. But i wish my current BB airguns were built like the Daystates…..minus the cost.
The AMERICAN version of a BIG BORE is much smarter than the European version. Why go 2500 bucks to only shoot a 303 cal pellet. The big difference though is i’m sure………..QUALITY between them and us.
Agreed. I would recommend a TT .25 for the guy that wants 120 FPE. I’m a little biased of course!
For a guy that wants a .30 cal airgun, I’d tell him to call you and stop playing with pellets….
Yeah at least they are only claiming 120 fpe. 47 gr at 1072 gets 120 fpe. If they are like any other pellet probably 950 fps is going to be ideal. So around 95-100 fpe. Still a lot of money for something that only makes a 100 fpe and might only have one pellet for it.
