Q:

Home built .177 airgun

Messages copied from another forum about my build

Hi guys, just started building my Theoben Rapid mk1 replica and here is what I made today.

Using a .177 BSA barrel, a 500cc gunpower stealth bottle and a big block of aluminium. Going to use a QB/XS tigger group, just got to make the bolt, hammer and valve.

More to come..

nice!!! can’t wait to see how this progresses 😀

Small change of plans, decided to do away with that brass piece and made another out of stainless that will incorporate to valve meaning that the aluminium block isn’t under any pressure. Also allows me to remove the bottle for any reason, could have another bottle or something.

So here it is, 7/8 – 14 UNF on one end and M18x1.5mm on the other. Need to finish drilling the innards out, add a couple of o-ring grooves on the plain portion and make the valve stem.
