Hi guys not new to AG’s but new here and looking at the TalP
Have a sumatra 25 carbine…should I go for it an grab a talon P also.
Can’t stop looking at it, good thing they’re out of stock everywhere.
Anyone not like there’s. I want a 25 cal would something else be better in a carbine from Airforce in 25? Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I don’t really want a Pistol. Most people turn the PCP pistols into carbines. That’s what I want to do and the cheapest way seems to be through the Talon P. I like the looks of the Mad Dog short stock. Would most likely just use it as is with a sock around the tank maybe a butt plate. It is getting tough to resist ordering one….been hanging back waiting to see if they will include the new tank.
a shroud will most defiantly work on the talon pistol, and for backyard/neighbor friendly, or just pure shooting enjoyment it’s a must in my opion
Do you have any thoughts on putting a shroud on the talon P. Will it work?
I’m also looking at a short mad dog stock for the talon P. Start adding stuff and the sticker starts climbing rapidly on these. The shorty is just out of my reach on what I’m willing to go on an AG. The one Randy does up is still more than I want to go. I compare these to an AR build which I can do for way less money. Even the accessories are way less + there is multi shot capability. I know it’s not backyard anymore but then neither is the Talon P for me.
same price for what, tony’s and the spin lock, or the spin lock and the airforce adaptor?
one thing to consider is the drop angel of tony’s, the airforce set up is still straight. you get a much better check weld with the dropped tank
I’m not sure but I think it is around the same price just for the adapter.
do your self a favor and talk with tony to see if he could make one of his angled adaptors with paint ball threads for you..

I emailed PA and asked if the Talon P came with the new tank on the units they just got in, they said no but I could get the new tank from them. Click the link to see how much. They have to be kidding.

Looks like I’ll be waiting a little longer.
Yes, the new tanks have a foster fitting that lets you fill the tank without removing it from the gun. AirForce tends to sell all of it’s old stock before selling something new so I don’t know if there will be any discounts on the old tanks but it may happen. They are offering an upgrade from the old Quick-Detach tank mount to the new Spin-Loc tank mount for $50.00 or so. If they sell enough upgrades the demand for the old tanks should drop off.
So with the new tank can you fill with the tank on the gun? That would be a nice feature. I bet there will be some deals on the guns with the old tanks.
At some point AirForce will probably sell all of their guns with the new Spin-Loc tanks. My TalonP is a Spin-Loc model but it came with the Quick-Detach tank. It might be worth the wait to get a Spin-Loc tank included in that $399.00 price.
I plan to ask AirForce for the price of the Spin-Loc version of the Direct-Flo valve. I may want to upgrade my TalonP. With my 360cc tank in-place of the stock 213cc tank having a foster fitting and pressure gauge on the tank would make sense. Then again, I like the idea of being able to breakdown my TalonP and store it in my 26″ x 14″ hard case.
Can’t wait to see the pics dollar dean. Should be very interesting. We both like it for the same reasons. I’ve only been into these adult AG’s for a couple of years, powder burners forever. Have way too many AG’s, 177 to 50 cal dragon slayer. Like PCP’s the most. The talon P is more of a carbine than a pistol, it seems that is how most set it up. Good price, power, and looks what more do you need. Now if I can find a deal on one.
PA doesn’t even want to give it’s usuall 10% off on it.
There are a lot of choices with AirForce guns. I own a TalonP and I bought it for three main reasons. First, I liked the price. Second, I liked the power (50fpe+). And third, I wanted something I could easily modify. I’m almost finished with my mods and what I will end up with is a small (32″ overall length), light weight, quiet but very powerful carbine that looks like an assault rifle and has a total cost about the same as a new Condor. I’ll be posting pics as soon as I install the new tank (360cc) and M4 style buttstock.
Like yourself, I don’t hunt anymore either. I just like powerful but accurate rifles to punch holes in 2 x 10s. 😀
buy a talon with 12″ barrel and a full size tank.
Not sure. I don’t really hunt anymore. Probably to just shoot and look great next to the other guns. Looks like my AR’s. Mainly just shoot targets. I do have a hunting license but never seem to go anymore.
Looks light and compact more so than the Sumatra carbine. Looks like a great 1st airforce gun.

a cheaper way would be to get a talon(more shots still short as hell) 😀
