GTBJ pellet seater
Scott decided I need this for my 25 LBT carbine.
I have been convinced that the guns converted to 25 LBT were LBT specific. Then I detuned my carbine to 770 FPS or so and tried Kings.
Lightly seating them in the ample lead produced velocities in the 980FPS range, the groups were around an inch or slightly under at 40 yards.
So Scott decided that I needed to seat them past that lead and that they would shoot better.
And was he ever right on that.
Kings went into half an inch time and time again.
A 25 LBT group fired as a control group
25 caliber Predators, I think the flyer was me not seating the pellet, but it couls have been me or the little Burris non AO scope.
This seater has increased the utility of my LBT carbine three fold.
Kings shoot an inch to the left at 40 yards, which is easy to correct and are doing 51 FPE and shoot into half an inch time after time. Velocites are a little slower due to the pellet being further in the barrel.

I think it means Lead Bullets Technology, but I’m not 100% on that
Looks like it is doing its job! I thought for sure if they were seated into the rifling the performance would come back to what it should be… also good to know that removing the choke will still work for ‘standard” pellets
IF only I knew what LBT meant!!!!

Yes it is Lead Bullet Technology, Veral Smith is a legend with his improvement of the Keith designed SWC. It was thought for yars that the front drivng band was responsable for the nice clean holes that the Keith bullet made in paper and in game, Verals designs do away with that driving band and are astounding killers on game.
His designs offer a very wide flat nose/metlate that is by far the best killer of any cast bullet design.
He makes his molds in Idaho at his shop, one at a time.
He is great to work with, a two cavity LBT mold is about what you would pay for a off the shelf RCBS mold. Veral can be reached at http://www.lbtmoulds.com.
His was the fourth mold I tried in this cast bullet 25 journey, I wish I had tried him first. Off the shelf molds were either over sized or undersized or of different sizes than advertised. LBT was right on the money.
I am convinced the choke on the LW barrel is one fine paper weight.
