LOOKING FOR TALON SS TOPHAT VALVE ?
hello, i’m looking for the valve in the tank that the tophat goes into, apparently i screwed mine up, when i heated it up to remove the valve, at least thats what i am told, the gun leaks thru the barell when tring to air it up, i called tony at talon tunes , he referred me to airforce , but cant hook up with them, & they have not returned my calls, so whatever i need + o rings, anyone ? also the tank seems to have some kind of oil residue in it , what should i clean it with ? thanks roger

Just had one brought to me today that they couldn’t remove. I put it in my mill vise with cardboard to protect the tank. Take a torch and heat up the tank where the valve is a little. 150-175 degrees. Then I hit the tool with my hand and it come loose. No reason for them to be more then hand tightened with a tool.
Go to store. Find VRT tool. Click on add to cart.
Also, get a BIG hammer 😯

Be sure to remove the tophat/valve stem before you start beating the piss out of the tool handle.
Oh yea, don’t forget to bleed the tank. 😉

Sounds like you need a new stem seal and o rings.

take and post up some pics of all the valve parts taken apart so we can see what you need.
on cleaning it, some hot soppy water and some paper towels will do the trick, just make sure it’s nice and dry

How hot did you get it? Anything above 300* and they say to destoy the tank.

did you melt the seal at the end of the stem inside the valve?
take and post up some pics of all the valve parts taken apart so we can see what you need.
