has anybody ever tried shooting plastic 6mm bbs from a tight(bsa) .25 barrel or a simiar tight barrel? i dont expect accuracy, but how hard is plastic fouling to clean?

I did that. Got the same results as dave, about 1600fps. I did try to make it shoot accurately. The best patches I used where the little square cloth cleaning ones you get with kits. I couldn’t get anything that even resembled accuracy. Gave up on it pretty quick.
I did like to mess with my brother’s friends playing airsoft. They would all be out showing off their gun and I would “sight in” my airsoft gun (the condor) and it would do the supersonic crack. They would all freak out and start telling me I couldn’t use it. I thought it was hysterical.
well, tried to actually get these things up to plinking accuracy, at least.
ive been patching with small pieces of microfiber pillowcase i originally cut for cleaning.
anybody got tips on ball patching?(im waiting on a smartassed response from unca’ hoot…)

patch the front and back, and you have a very inaccurate less lethal device… 😆
You know… at 3+ grains each you could stuff 20 of them in the barrel each shot. Just sayin. LOL

Funny you should say that, when I was younger I made a pneumatic spud gun with a 6mm barrel, I then proceeded to shoot an airsoft into the palm of my hand.
Had to cut it out with a stanley knife after cleaning it with vodka, still have the scar to this day 🙂

0.25g is 3.86 grains, at 1600fps that means about 21FPE, enough to do some serious damage I would have thought.
That was only a 50FPE .25 talon, don’t know what your 100FPE condors would do, but exceeding the speed of sound gets exponentially difficult when using ambient temperature air.

I managed to crony some 6mm airsoft BB’s in my gun that was originally shooting at about 50FPE, 6mm BB’s managed about 1600fps 🙂

well, if you think the barrel will be ok, ill take my 😀 GTBJ 😀 off and run co2 just for entertainment value. 😉
i have a crosman and a LW blank, maybe ill borrow somebodys lathe and drill and ream to a 6mm smoothy, and find a way to accomodate a hop up, just so i can shoot on the cheap, even if i aint hittin nothin…
unless someone wants a 12 inch LW blank and a 14 inch crosman blank(which luckily seems to be one of their better ones. the super streak loved it, and by nature of springers, if it shoots well, the barrel is doin well)
