If I want to shoot 260 meters I need 700 clicks or 35 mildots ON MY SETUP. Even if I spend 500 clicks which I don’t have, to be able to use the 5’th mildot, the scope will be so much off center, that the image will be crappy, specially at that distance.
I have 2 trees that I can shoot safely and comfortable from my immobile shooting place. One at 87 meters and one at 134 meters. At 87 is starting to become boring as I never miss, but at 134 meters I never score. I have rings with 20 MOA elevation and I can see pretty good at 134 meters once I dial in the elevation turret. Not clear enough to see in which direction I miss, but the pellet always scares the sparrow that I’m shooting at. The Hawke Chairgun PRO is off just a little bit, but I don’t know which way…
I need a 100 meters indoor shooting range or a maximum 3 Km/h wind day to record my clicks at various distances. I also need a day off… Hopefully, soon I’ll post the new personal record with video.
One day, while waiting for the train at the railroad crossroad I killed one crow at 145 meters, in a minute another at 143 meters, then decided to take other road and while going at that road saw a seagull, the distance was 173 meters, head shot dead instantly. EDgun Matador R3, caliber 5.5 mm.
1 shot at 260m and… hit 🙂
Back then I felt good, now I now it was lucky lucky lucky and I will never do again from the first time 😀

And dvdrw; my scope was at 10x and indeed, I just barely could the the target on the far edge 🙂 It was a piece of metal that turns over something where the cows can drink from 🙂
We heared the PING, and saw a little hit on the plate 🙂
Just crazy.. My nephew was with me and I never did it again or tried, because I know it was just plain old luck 🙂
