I LOVE it!!! I was so worried about it’s journey because it was going to have the cross the country.
Fortunately, it survived :8: :8:
All I thought about last night was Samuri’s situation (I truely hope everything will work out in the end, bro).. Needless to say, I didn’t get too much sleep.. I was amped.. My wife sensed something was out of the ordinary.. I fessed up and she took it well.. I think 😕

I was able to fire off a few rounds this after noon and for the power it is shooting, it is very quiet. I was surprised actually. According to my memory, it’s probably as loud as an stock fx royale shooting at 30 ftlbs. It might be quieter than that though. The pellet smacking a two by four seems louder. I need to reload my pellet trap with duct seal to make shooting at comfortable (not worrying if neighbors, IYKWIM 😉 )

The Atlas is a great bipod– I have 2 of the QD throwlever versions for my powderburners. The pan & cant is excellent, the multiple leg positions allow for great support in odd situations (like setting up at a 45 degree angle over a log) and they really “bite” the ground much better than a Harris bipod which allows for better preload of the bipod that helps with faster followup shots on rifles that actually recoil. With the pushbutton notched legs the Atlas is slower to deploy than a Harris but the versatility and stability is better.
However, I used a standard Harris S-BRM bipod with KMW pod-loc on my Edguns instead of the Atlas. Why? The Atlas bipods need a picatinny rail for mounting and with the rather short stocks of the Edguns that means the rail inevitably ends up under your hand when shooting offhand without a bipod. I hate the “cheesegrater” feel of a bare picatinny rail against my hand; it’s very uncomfortable. No such issue with the single sling stud needed for a Harris bipod.
This is more a problem with the standard length Edgun and its shorter stock; with the extended forward portion of the stock with the long version the rail can be installed far enough forward it’s not under my hand when shooting offhand. Hmmm, now I might have to machine some of my picatinny rail stock and mount it up on the front of the long .25…

IT WAS PERFECTLY NORMAL THAT YOU RECEIVED IT UNDAMAGED!
We’ve sent hundreds of Edguns and THEY ALL ariived in perfect order. And it was very unfortunate that a few were damaged by UPS during shipment.
Here’s my R3 with bushy legend. It’s on weaver tactical 6 hole mounts (high) which work well. Unfortunately for me, they came with a cross bolt missing 🙁
I attached the front mount securely and the rear is mocked on. I’m waiting for the bolt in the mean time. The scope is on pretty good and if I don’t get the bolt by Friday, I’m still taking her out this weekend 😉
I shot a few test rounds point blank into a two by four using kodiaks. I was surprised to see that a couple of shots went clean through the wood. This thing is powerful. It also gave me a chance to get a feel of the cocking cycle and trigger. The cocking is smoothing out as I fire more shots. I really like it. The trigger has a longish first stage. I was use to the short first stage of my former gun, an fx royale. I could get used to it, not a big deal. It stops well and then a little more pressure and the shot is off. Considering that there is a long linkage to the trigger sear, the second stage break is predictable and crisp. It not in the same class as a rekord, but it is close IMO.
I was reading up on the some of the guns that came in with issue like the breech seal being too tall and needing to get sanded/turned down and I have not needed to make any adjustments. The breech block is raised a bit but not to the point where the muzzle is touching the end of the tube. As a matter of fact, the gap between the shroud and reservior is very even. The cocking is like I said earlier, getting smoother and breaking in good. For these reasons, I am not going to mess with fine tuning. As long as everything is functioning smoothly and as it should, I’m leaving this baby alone.
My next step is putting a bipod on the stock. I like the atlas bipods but they are pricey. I might save up for one though since they are so compact. Any suggestions other than the usual harris type bipods?
Anyways, I will be punching paper this weekend to get her all sighted in. I waiting for my jsb .25 to come in but I have some kodiak on stand-by.

the moderator tube (the tude that screws off from the end) is hella tight.
I tried to turn it counterclock-wise with my gorilla mitts and it didn’t budge.
My suggestion. Squirt some wd40 on the threaded side and let it soak. Then give it a firm and quick turn and it should come loose.
The tolerances are very tight on this gun. A good thing.
Cocking is a bit rough but I’m planning on filing the cocking shoe like OG does. I will probably smooth out with usage though. Again, not bad but I was used to cocking an fx royale.
So far so good except I can’t sight it in. I ordered a set of Weaver tactical mounts from Optics planet and the set came with only one cross bolt. I’m going to check at my local hardware shop and see if I can find a bolt that will work for now until the replacement arrives.
I’m installing a bushy legend on the gun. I’m using high mounts which are really like medium mounts. They seem like they will work. The scope bell and objective clear the rails by a quarter of an inch. It makes for a low mounting but I like it that way. I look a lot more compact also.
I will post pics as soon as I mount the scope.

After reading about two broken stocks from Tony’s shipments, I am very fortunate that I received mine in one piece.
In my opinion, there needs to be more room length-wise. I’m referring to the shipping box. There is no room for the peanuts to fill the space. If there is room, then the peanuts can do their job. I would have used foam similar to what pyramid air uses to pack thier pellet tins or something similar. The long gun takes up all the space in the nylon case and shift very little. It the gun has space to move, that is good in case it is dropped on its end. The impact will not fully absorbed by the gun.
I hope there is a speedy and satisfiable resolution to those that received their guns damaged. I could have been me.

I reieved my chrony this afternoon and ran five shots through it.
The five average 908fps using JSB Kings .25 cal. Ftlbs= 47.
Pretty good in my book 😀

I ordered it on Wednesday and got it today. Wow!!
I sanded the Edgun stock and splashed some Minwax tung oil on it. Letting it dry as I type. I’m still waiting on the missing cross bolt for one of the rings though. If I don’t get tomorrow, I’m going to use a nut and bolt until it arrives. I really need to shoot this puppy.
