Hard Case for R3 Long Matador
Hey guys, are any of you using a different case for transportation of your R3 Long Edguns ? If so, please post them up.
I am considering a couple different cases, but wanted to see what everyone else was using.
For everyday backyard shooting, I keep mine in the soft-sided case it came with that works fine for just sliding under my bed where I keep it. However, for traveling and putting the gun in the back of the truck, etc. I think I want a bullet proof case to keep the gun safe.
By the way, I am loving my .25 R3 Long. I never imagined getting an easy 70+ shots with the same POI at 40 yards with one fill in .25 cal.
This gun is tops !

I ordered a pelican 1750 with foam for when I get my .22 long this fall
Just finished ordering a plano like LT’s.
Also ordered an Atlas bipod and a blueray player.
Now, to find a pleasant place to long range snipe.

Plano 36″ works for me. Bought it for $37.00 on Black Friday at Walmart. I didn’t think about putting a can of pellets in there but looks like I might have room or maybe my Pellet Pouch with pellets in it.

Pelican 1700 for me.

I’ve got my 22 long in a 42inch Plano Ballistic case. Looked at the 36″ model but the 42 gives more room to hold 6 tins (2spots -3 tins deep and a small plastic storage case for Orings,fill probe,Allen’s,silicone grease etc).
My nephew liked the foam blocking that came out so I finished it out for a cool foam Edgun for him to play with.

Pelican and Plano Cases – nice cases !
I thought about the Pelican 1700, but it may be pushing it to fit with enough foam on either end (inside length 35.75″). May go with 1720.
The Plano case seems to fit the gun just right.
Was also thinking about an SKB 3i-3614 Looks like it would fit good too, and looks to be bullet proof. Anyone have one of these, or knows about SKB cases ?
