very nice, if a bit weird Rolaids

I wonder what a nice IR laser or focusable flashlight would do to extend its capabilities

seemed to be getting pretty weak after 75 yards

I am working on ‘Rolaids NV1.0’ 🙂 version that I will post about once its finished. Trying to make it easy for others to just order parts and assemble. I have 4 different IR lights/laser to test and some early playing shows good results.

Will start new thread when I get pics and video together.

Ok – finally got my videos put together. Hope this helps those interested in Nyte Vu.

This is s link to the Night Vision Review playlist. NVR4 and NVR5 are the full review.

Lets see how that bastard Works!!! This thread has been dragging on forever… Most of us don’t care what the box it came in looks like!!! We just want to see it in action!!

Totaly agree!!! Thats how I’ve felt for months as I have researched and no one showed much of anything. I intend to not let any details out for all those who do want a complete review. I am recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury and am working on this as fast as I can 😕 …. It’s been a work in process and I am NOT trying to drip feed 😀 So hang on and I’ll update as I get more.

After I finish the video on Nyte Vu I will then be showing the ideas I have been working on for all us DIY’s ……as my brain energy allows.

keep ’em coming

Here is the 3rd video as I am documenting my process – the unboxing of the Nyte Vu:

quote ON_THE_EDGE:

The Nyte Vu is basically a digital camera with infrared LEDs. The same setup you have with a game trail camera except you cannot take pictures with it unless you plug something into it.

The Sportsmans Guide setup is basically the same thing.

I can see me buying a starlight monocular for less than $200 and mounting behind my Weaver Quickpoint.

….and thats exacly what I tried a few months ago except not a Weaver Quickpoint but a couple different scopes and was NOT impressed. Thats why I did some research and decided to try a couple other routes and do the best job I could documenting it for all the other users out there. I will keep this updated as I get more results together. Will probably keep the most detail in the videos and post links here as I complete them.

now I’m laughing at those links right there!!! The one with the boy and spycam…….that might be about what I look like when the rest of my assortment of gear gets here next week. I like building contraptions and grew up reading Tom Swift and Hardy Boys and always wanted their latest and greatest spywares!!!!

I think it would be good to keep it all under one thread, and considering how dead this one has been I would go ahead and post your review here.

Might get the original poster to update his progress.

Would like to see a good review of this, looks very interesting, so post away 😉

I too have been toying around with this whole night vision thing. Would love a Pulsar N550 yet would like to save some dough and have something easy to switch to different guns that I am already use to scope/reticles.

Here is a link to a video explaining my thoughts. http://www.youtube.com/user/RolaidsBench

Planning to keep posting more vids as I delve into some ideas I have. I did just receive my Nyte Vu setup. As I am a new poster here – yet and advid reader – should I start another thread and post when I get more info together or keep it in this one??

Huh? Huh????
