Can I get a talon ss to do 900fps with a 12 inch barrel?
I have a talon ss on the way and have hopes of making it a compact little hammer. Is it possible to get 30fpe out these and maintain accuracy with a 12 inch barrel? What mods must I do to obtain this number? What kind of shot string and psi to work with? What about top hat settings. If I get a condor tank and valve is this a got start? HELP!!!!!

Does it matter that my talon is a older one? I thought the newer bottles will not work with models a couple of years old. Are those numbers with the 18gr JSB? how many shots with that kind of power?
i have a condor with a 12″ .22 barrel and im pushing 940 to 1011 fps on power wheel 0 tank fill 2800psi so condor tank and the extra weight or spacer thing airforce sells but you will want a subsonnic insert or a gtbj shroud it can be loud

I’d recommend a TT power modded and tuned valve, TT hammer weight, and a 6″ shroud or insert. You’d be getting about 820fps with 18.13gr JSBs for about 27FPE. It’s lethal enough for small game. A Condor valve will need a much longer shroud keep it moderately quiet, so that would be tough to keep it short.
I fill to 2800psi and get about 20 consistent shots to 1800psi. Haven’t chrony’d a string yet.
Accuracy of .50-.60″ at 50yrds is attainable.
My goal is to is to keep it small as possible. How effective would a shroud be on the 12inch condor valve? Would 800 be a more realistic number?

It depends on the size of the hole at the end of that 12 inch barrel.
If a 177 it should be no problem, but defining a 177 as a hammer of any sort is stretching it.
If a 22, yes with a Condor valve you sure can, but your going to be using a lot of air and tha air will be in the form of energy that makes a lot ofnoise..
A 25 should make it also, the Talon pistol does, but it is very loud. I never had a 12 inch 25, but my 17 inch 25 easily makes 900 FPS with Kings and is much tamer too shoot I suspect.
And that is the best way to get extra velocity, get a longer barrel like a 24 or better a 18 if you want it to stay short.
A 12 inch doing 900 with a Condor valve will be loud, really loud, unless you get to be buddies with either Subsonnic or GTBJ.

no the numbers are shooting 14.3gn CPHP i would say 20+/- never realy counted
