I am really thinking about going with a Talon SS (CO2), and maybe adding a longer barrel later on.

Taking loudness into consideration, I have heard that the Condor is as loud as a .22 rimfire. On CO2, how much quieter are they?

I do the same with my index finger (and other things 🙂 ) but it really makes cocking nice having that extra strap on the frame.
The Condor also has the extra hammer weight. I like the extra support strap on top. I hook my index finger through the loop when I am cocking the breech.
Walkno is right as always. I bought the condor for the back yard and ordered it with the CO2 tank. Even on CO2 the thing is loud. So I ordered a frame extender. That quited the thing down. But for a cost.

Remember the Condor is loud the Talon SS is not. Take that into consideration where you shoot.

Great info, and much appreciated! I’m just wondering if for my casual plinking, and shooting in my backyard to 50+ yds, the extras that the Condor offers, are needed. I’m only around $50 or so shy, however, from the cash needed to buy a Condor w/12oz. CO2, Adapter, w/o open sights.
Something to consider, for sure. 😀 I know there are a whole lot of happy Talon SS owners, too.
The top support on the Condor frame lends some extra rigidity to the frame. The condor tank has a valve designed for high flow.
When you use CO2 the condor valve does not come into play.
Is that extra support actually needed for most scopes and mounts?
Also; is the high flow tank you speak of, internal? Or; is this the tank that the shooter actually fills? I know there are 12oz., and 20oz. tanks available.

The length of the Condor frame and Talon frame are the same. The Condor if you look at the scope rail has an extra support towards the front. The Condor also has a high flow tank that puts out more power.

This isn’t very scientific, but I shoot mine in the basement, and it seems just a little bit louder than a Daisy multi pump. My wife can’t hear it upstairs. I’ll test it with an SPL meter tonight, if you are still interested.
