Ohhh VMax. Love that bike. Every time I see one it reminds me of what happened 35 yrs ago when I was 18 and in the Air Force. I worked a 2nd job at the local motorcycle shop. One day one of the very wealthy oil rig owners in Witchita KS walked in with his 16 yr old son and told him he could have any bike he wanted. Of course the kid picked a VMax. Exactly 1.5 blocks from the store after dad payed cash for the bike, a car runs through a stop sign into the bike’s path. The son panicks and nails the throttle. The butterfly valves open and the bike leaves the kid where he punched it at and leaps out from under him and totals itself around the nearest pole.
