Is Tony going to assemble the Matador in the U.S.?
Tony was recently in Russia, and I doubt he went there for his health.
Ed mentioned “training”, and I assumed this would be to train him to assemble the Matador from scratch. In this manner, Ed could send parts to the U.S. much easier than assembled guns, and possibly start meeting the demand that has gone unsatisfied here.
Trying to help a forum member, I have been trying to obtain information from U.S. Customs regarding duty fees to import an air rifle. The law indicates it is legal to import an air gun into the U.S. but does stipulate there are “duty fees” associated with that transaction. What I can’t seem to find out is how much. I do know that any air gun over $2000 in cost requires special Customs permits.
Usually FedEx or UPS uses a Customs Broker in the U.S. and they charge the fees and taxes up front, with the shipping charges.
Eventually I will approach them to see if they can help.

I think you are correct and Tony will be putting the rifles together here in US.
R3 is very very friendly as far as assembly goes and there is no more tricks needed to get the barrel straight on the clamps and not to create moons or other issues. (R2.5)
I’ll let you know when Customs gets back to me.

I am interested in knowing how to import one legally to the US. Got some relatives in Belgium.

The question is WHEN will Tony arrive back and begin operations?
Is it as likely to happen in our lifetime as the Second Coming???
WILL the apocolypse take place immediately after Tony begins assembly, or will we stand naked before the undead, as they consume the flesh of the living, and have no Edgun .25 Standard to pop their nuts off, just before we go under the savage hoards?
These, and other questions go unanswered!
If this wasn’t bad enough, the Mars Explorer is due to land on August 6, THEN we have the election of a group of idiots to worry about in November.
If it’s not one thing, its another…..a guy gets weary!
