Bam51/Faux ACI/LW or Making a silk purse from a sows ear
I just got the barrel back from Doug on this one. I made the stock out of the tired, broken and poorly repaired orginal stock.
Then replaced the barrel with its poorly designed and executed shroud with a non choked LW 25 barrel that had been on the Condor I cut up for the Talon SSS.
The rifle makes 49 FPE corrected to the muzzle and shoots into less than 1/2 inch at 40 yards, with a shot string like this it is easy to see why.
I had a 2×7 Burris and just a small bag under the forearm. With a Bushnell 3200 5×15 it should shoot much better..
The LDC is permanently attached.

I’ve got a couple guns at the ready all the time. Curious though, there seems to be no wildlife in my backyard and I can’t so much as walk by a window without spooking any crow that comes around.

Yes I am enjoying it too.
I got a crow at 25 yards, then a cottontail at 95 yards today.

I just put the Tactical 5×15 3200 Bushnell on the Bam 51, I am amazed!
I shot two 5 shot groups at 38 yards off of bags.
The first was .28 and the second was .30 for an average of .29 inches at 38 yards with a 49 FPE.
Bottom hole was the aiming point.
