Q:

probably noob question

I had just read (probably erroneously, but…) that .25 caliber rifles shoot .257 projectiles. Can you cast a .257 bullet and shoot it out of a Condor .25? or will it take a bunch of modding?

The Hill pumps are fantastic, they just don’t die-as long as you do the basic maintenance. What I’ve found is that when you push the handle down and wait for a second before pumping the next stroke, the pump will take 3x longer to heat up. Also grease the main piston o’ring once a month-the little green one as well as the outer shaft.

I’m filling my Condor with it as well and did the same with my previous Condor and a hoard of other high power/air hungry rifles. I’ve had the pump for about 2 yrs and replaced the o’rings about 3x. If I take into account how hard the pump works and how little maintenance is needed, its just mind boggling.

Exercise is not the problem. I started with a pump also , I said I am 6’2″ and 245 lbs no frigging problem a dam pum big deal. What really aggrivated me was waiting for it to cool. I do not want to wait a half hour to refill my gun! If you could pump away I would still be using the pump today. I eventually bought a scuba tank (one week into the sport) then a carbon fiber tank and then a shoebox compressor! lmao
Being able to refill and shoot almost immediately is PRICELESS! 😆

Eventually the plan is to get a shoebox compressor and another condor tank. now that they’ve cut out overtime it may be months before that happens though.

it’s the same as filling your Mrod. i don’t know about the maintainence schedule, i went the scuba route. i’m too friggin’ old for all that exercise.

It’s probably the only exercise I’ll get. I also have adaptors to fill with nitrogen from our n2 carts. From those I an be absolutely sure what pressure is in the condor tank. So they need to be hydro’ed every 5 years. What happens after the 15 year life is over?

don’t be shy. the more you ask now, the better idea you’ll have of what you should expect of your gun, when you get it. another thing is read, read, read. you’ll be amazed at what’s been asked & answered already on this forum.

Ok. I bought a hill pump and bspp to AF adaptor, when I hook up the Condor tank do I just close the bleed valve, pump away (letting it cool down as appropriate) then open the bleed valve like I did my mrod/disco? or is there some other arcane ritual I will have to do instead? the manual I read from pyramydair was pretty darned nebulous about filling the tank. Just said “DON’T USE ANYTHING BUT AIR.”

The hill pump also had nothing really detailed about using it, just pictures indicating how to put it together, pump until it gets hot, let it cool down ten minutes. It also hinted that I should use silicon grease every 3 months. haha.

thanks in advance.

in a word, no. you’d have to get a barrel with that groove dia. pellet gun bores run undersize.

Thank you. I have another noob question, but it can wait until I actually have a Condor. thanks.
