Enegry restriction laws in different countries.
I wonder if people in UK for example follow the energy restriction regulation just because they are afraid to be caught with higher energy gun then allowed or they really consider the restriction is right?
Or, rephrase the question — if you would have a gun which is tuned to maximum energy and to turn it down to the limit will take just a couple of seconds by pushing one button — will you use it to full energy or not?

As i post time ago, here we have not any power restrictions by now. But sometimes, less power is better for acuracy, so, usually all buy Magnum Style Air Rifles and a few years later all go to medium power guns… 😉

The idea is — a client gets the gun which is tuned to his country’s limits, if there are any. Then he insert the PIN code to the gun and unblock it to its full energy. If there is a kind of danger (the police check or whatever) he just keep the button for few seconds and the gun autmaticly drop the energy to the limit and it is impossible to speed it up without a PIN code which only an onwer knows.

in the uk it works like this:
first off you need permission off the land owner to shoot on the land.
if the air rifle is a sub 12ft/lb rifle you can use it on any piece of land that you have permission to shoot on.
if the gun is over 12ft/lb, first off you need a license but then every single piece of land that you want to shoot on has to be checked by your local firearms officer before you are allowed to shoot on it, and then after 5 years of having the license they issue you with an open ticket which means you choose where to shoot it just like 12ft/lb rifles.

having the ability to tune the velocity to the pellet electronically like my MVT daystate would be very welcome,

Looks like you’re working on some wicked electronic triger and hammer/valve that I bet will be very accurat if you would use an actuator and eleminate the shock of the hammer.
I know you pay very close attention to details but can you produce more of the Matador???

In my country the limit is 220 m/s and would be nice to have something like this. Till now I just carry some Eun Jin 32.4 Grains with me for some unexpected tests.

If you are not limited to power restrictions, it could be good to have a power adjuster.
Where I live, there are (not yet) restrictions in power, but I would use them when shooting at home or closer ranges. Sometimes with high power, you’re pellet just penetrates without expanding because of the high velocity.
On the other hand: I would only use it if I know that the reg and valve could follow it as accurate as now. So not that I get a whole other deviation because of the low power between shots and the gun is more inconsistent.
Also should the power adjuster be very very easy to operate and accurate. FI: you tune the matadors to shoot 18 grains JSB, so the power adjuster should give FPE indications in those pellets.
I guess that 3 options like: FULL, MEDIUM and LOW should do the trick.
A sidenote: in countries were there are limitations I think it is forbidden to have this. All the guns in England have anti tamper screws to prevent you to upgrade your speed :/
For hunting i guess full power is the clear option for outside hunting where you do not hurt stuff behind the game. But for shooting pests indoor or at sensitive locations i think lower power is a nice feature. For shooting at the range (club) it is fun to shoot at lower levels of power also….if you look at FX latest rifle with the powerwheel i think you are ion something good 🙂
I would love my Edgun R3 .25 Long (recieved yeysterday) with a wheel on the side to adjust the power…and then a magazine 🙂
