Battery junction or light hound. Order the charger and 4 batteries. RCR123 li-po.
cheaper than buying 5 non rechareables at wallyworld. đ
You wont regret it!

costco right now sells 3 flashlights with 200 lumen each 18 bucks (batts incl)…battery time is not great though as they run on 3xAAA..i gotta see if theres a lipo with those dimensions that will fit…if there is
when you go lipo, get a dedicated lipo charger, you can not use a regular nicd/nimh charger, at worst the battery will explode/go up in flames
pay that bit extra for protected lipo’s, they have a little circuit that prevents over charge(the charger should cut off by it self), and most important low voltage cutoff LVC..lipos are not happy if they dip below 2.8v it will ruin the battery…3v is considered lewest you should go.
some flashlights knows how many batteries are in the flashlight and have built in LVC, then the individual cells dont need it…but its still nice to have as the flashlight is going by combined voltage, and if a cell has gone bad then it could dip below 2.8v while the rest is at say 4v…flashlight has no way of telling…but the protection circuit will save your ass
i have not seen a incandesant bulb burn out from use of lipo…it draws what it needs, no matter how much the batteries can deliver…so as long as the voltage match no problems
you can get some lipo the size of D-cells, if in a 2 cell maglite you will need to run a 6 cell bulb
there are tons of very cheap and extremely cheap 200-1000 lumen flashlights on dealextreme.com i got a bunch of them…super powerfull the 501 and 502 bodys will fit in scope rings, they run of a 18650 which can power the light for hours
ohh another positive with lipo’s….lithium can be recycled and is not toxic as nimh og nicd’s….but fuck that…the great thing is you can charge them in 1 hour, the voltage stays between 3 and 4.2v, so little voltage drop between full and empty and that equals more or less full output from the flashlight from beginning to end..no more semi dead flashlights…either it works or not
i got a fandyfire 3000 lumen flashlight and appart from its gay name, and not being 3000 lumen but more like 2000-2300, its great ! i payed 35 bucks for it and 10 bucks for 2 batteries and a charger for 5…thats 50 bucks for 2000+ lumens SHIPPED !
if your hunting for a 1000-ish lumen flashlight and want it to last a long time, go with one with say 2-5 modes…normally there will be low-mid-high-strobe-sos i hate strobe and sos…but running it on low and you got 100-200 lumens which is quite a bit, and the flashlight can run for hours on a 18650 batt….i would recommend getting one that takes two 18650 for a nights hunting
in the 100-300 lumen range a single 18650 is ok, and should give you hours of use
OOPS, I missed that you didnât state if the light was LED or not. I just ASSumed that it was a LED.
Donât even get me started on LED flashlights! I have one that cost me $399! https://omglumens.com/DEFT-edc_Enthusiast.php
It is a hand built light that uses one rechargeable/protected 18650 3.7 volt Li-Po battery. One battery is good for at least 5 hours. I use it to target shoot at night. It has a 1â body and I made a mount that attaches to my scope rail. At 100 yards, it throws a beam that is no more that 10â-12â square and it doesnât have hardly any side fill. At 100 yards, I can easily see each pellet hole using my Hawke 4026 scope. 4 AM, driving back from the gun range with my Tacomaâs lights on bright, this light will throw a noticeably brighter beam anywhere the Tacomaâs light shine and it will light the road up farther down the road than the headlights can. While driving back home, I just have to stick the light out of the window and giggle stupidly over just how bright the light is.
Sorry about the last 2 paragraphs! đł
The link that I posted was for a rechargeable Li-Po battery. It is a protected 3.7 volt 750 milliamp rechargeable battery. The throw away Li-Po batteries are 3.0 volts and an incandescent bulb might not like the extra 0.7 volts.
If your light has a LED bulb, the extra 0.7 volts shouldnât hurt it but, it will make it brighter.
The only down side to the rechargeable protected Li-Po batteries is, once they are discharged to around 3 volts, they just shut off. I donât know what light that you are going to use them in but, a set of batteries should last you all night. If not, carry an extra set and swap them out when needed.
I totally agree with Mike; you can buy cheaper rechargeable Li-Po batteries that are not protected. The unprotected ones can catch fire or explode while charging or while in use!
I started on the Ecigs 1 ½ years ago and I have used only the AW RCR123A protected batteries. I donât want the damn battery catching fire or exploding in my shirt pocket!
Hey Mike; are you still doing the Ecigs? I love em!
Depends!
You don’t mention what kind of bulb you are running. Incandecent? LED?
If a good LED, follow oldgoats advice. Screw buying throw aways. I have hundreds, if not thousands of hours on the recharable’s. And they cost very little more than the throw-aways cells.
Word of caution. Buy li-po, or protected cells. They can save your ass!!!
Dont’ use the rechargeables with most incandesant bulbs. The recharables now days put out more amps than the throw-aways, and can fry a standard bulb in a heart beat.
Battery Junction, battery warehouse, any of the custom e-cig sales houses. Here is one. PureSmoker.com
