Q:

EDgun .25 Long Perfect Day !!!

Went out to the desert this morning. Absolutely perfect conditions….hardy any breeze, and the sun was just coming up. This post is not to necessarily be proud of the great groups, but to thank a few people who have assisted me with getting my EDgun dialed in. First of all thanks to OG Tedd for the many e-mails and phone calls. OG went well out of his way to help with the many questions that I had. Art C. from Ca. for the spare bolts, and his help. Both OG and Ted in Madison for the many videos on how to make the EDgun a well oiled machine. Today was just one of those days that everyone should experience. Thanks to all on the forum, and the great deal of knowledge that is shared and obtained here.

The machine EDgun .25 Long

First 5 shot group at 100 yards:

Second 5 shot group at 100 yards:

This last is a 5 shot string at 125 yards:

Thanks again for all the great help even though I felt like I was in a state of absoulte shooters shock.

…When I first got the gun it was clipping a little on the first and last baffel. I drilled it out and solved that problem, it took some time, did it a little at a time til it stopped clipping. Completed the trigger mod from OG along with the adjustment on the reg and HS (see OldGoat video). I guess I stripped out one of the bolts on the rear breach….Art sent me some new longer bolts and that fixed that. I use a crown saver now and do not remove the bolt for cleaning. I was still having a problem on POI, but OG suggested that I really tighten down my baffel nuts, and oh my did that ever solve the problem. I thought I had it tight, but gave it just a little more and that really worked…

Same story here, swanny, except that I’m still at it’s beginning ’cause I didn’t have the technical abilities to put OG’s advice to practice. So I took a different route and sent the gun to someone who should be able to make it shoot as straight as yours better than anyone else 😉

BTW, yours are the greatest 100-yard, 5-shot OUTDOOR groups that I’ve seen, and it’s only logical that OG is deep green with envy 😆 😆 😆

Sorry I miss something I guess but. Why do you hate him?

And last weekend at the 100m competition, someone shot a 11,9mm group of 5 shots during competition! Wow! Amazing!
That’s 0,46″ at 109 yards with the Sinner (Dutch gun) with .223 solids.

VERY nice groups!

BTW, I hate you too…

I really did not do toooo much. When I first got the gun it was clipping a little on the first and last baffel. I thought I had it tight, but gave it just a little more and that really worked. I think the biggest thing is I was shooting out of my A@# ( not leterally) this morning….you know every once in awhile you just have a great day and all the stars line up. I mean it was dead calm and perfect conditions.
