Q:

Ordered: Pulsar N750

Hi! Just placed my order on the new Pulsar N750 (replacement for n550). Previous i have used a Nitesite NS50 and it was working really good. Since it was ns50 version i could only spot out to 50 meters.

I will try to make a short/amatuer review of this item this weekend i think….

Is the IR adjustable i watched the videos and it seems way to bright for close range rabbits etc the glare is horrendous, also is it adjustable as if it shone over the targets at close range rather than underneath them IE closer to the nv unit , it may help with the glare , i havent used one of these yet but im working on affording one , prob by the rime i get my FAC.

PS. this is a site i just joined it may have the answer to any questions you have about night vision , there are a lot of home made set ups on here.

Just went out to see how off the scope was. Turns out i have to raise the mount at the front with 1 mm (same thing with my hawke scope). Very easy then to adjust it by controls in menu system.

This scope on the Edgun looks mean! Tonight i might get lucky!

While i was out yesterday and fiddling with settings i tried the scope longerange and up to 600 meter i could spot deer. Rabbit is good to 200 meters. The new ir is a powerful bastard!

Yesterday was really good half full moon clear sky and the ir was sometimes just not for any good. It shines up and takes away details. Ir is good for spotting the eyeglow.

First test outside…did some recordings…quality kind of stinks. Had to solder my own cable and i guess the cable wasent in best quality. Have to rethink.

Also i had to zero the scope in my garage 8 meters distans so every shoot i took was what i lookes like well over the target. I uploadet the mildot recticle from pulsar but it doesnt work so well i think. Anyone know how hard it is to make your own recticle? I would like the same look as my hawke sidewinder mildot that covers almost the whole lens. 😈

The recordning device in use with my NS50 kit gives me alot better quality (different cable i hope is the reason).

Maybe somebody knows how to make a cable that works with both units with a converter adapter like rca-2.5 mm jack or rca-3.5 mm jack.
