Got a call from Reba and Jack that they are shipping it today.
Now for the kid a week before christmas syndrome for the next week.

The .257 Scadalous is built by Jack Haley and looks like a typical big bore, in that wood stock bolt action envelope. You get up to 3 shots with a 3800 PSI fill to a 4400PSI fill if you have the right spring.
It will shoot .257 bullets from 75 grainers up to a little over 100 grains at up to round 275 FPE or a little further.
With the 87 grain bullet, the maximum velocity is comparable to the starting load data for the 25-20 Winchester rifle.
Groups have been posted in the 1 to 1.5 inch range at 300 yards, and coyote kills to 300 yards.
It won the Lasso shoot, shot by Jon Bowman, who was the force behind the concept of putting a .257 tube on a big bore rifle.
Haley has several orders for them, but the number out there is still probably less than 10.
Mine is absolutely the opposite of my Royale 500 carbine in that it has a 36 inch barrel.

RC, exactly what is a Jack Haley “Scandalous .257?
My assumption is it’s a .25, but perhaps hopped up a bit, and with a fancy stock. Am I close?
How would you compare it to your chopped Royal ‘500 Elite? That’s a lot of rifle to out perform!
Kindly, simple minded, feeble ‘Ol Uncle H 😯 😯 T
You may have a few years on some of us RC, but you’re the last guy I’d call old. Here’s to ya’… :18:
Benneboy,
I had trouble with them in my late 30’s.
I wrote two books living up on my mountain using a Honda Generator and a old 880 computer.
I would write a rough draft and then print it out and rewrite using the hard copy.
Twice my generator would start coughing and before it quit, I hit the save fucntion, only to have the generator and the computer die losing almost a complete rewrite, were talking maybe 100 pages of new material the first time and 150 pages the second time.
Yeah I know save that stuff, but I get paid a very good tax free pension for being a slow learner.
I say it was from Karma perhaps for beating someone to death with my arabus in a past life, but it may be more techincal than that, I may of been one of the catholic priests who harrassed Galileo to deserve this computer curse. 😈
RC
I’m self taught too ,and all I know is you cannot beat the machine.
Personaly I hate computers, if it was not for the geek squad, I would be typing letters on a IBM Selectric.
To me it is a form of black magic that was created to curse me when ever I do anything more complcated than a google search, downloading pictures into photo bucket is right on the edge of my computer skills.
Obviously some Karma I am working off, perhaps I beat to death a begger with my abacus in some past life, for what ever reason what is a simple task for any other is an impossible chore for me.
I tired to sync my wifes new Ipad with the keyboard we bought for it with Bluetooth yesterday, probably a simple job for a 10 year old child, but it went nothing like the simple instructions said it would.
So then I tried the simple act of touching the download button on the screen to download YahooMessenger for her, and guess what, it would not download it, I can’t even touch a button to download on a computer without screwing it up.
I buy all my computers from Bestbuy, use them for 6 months and then send them overseas, with my computer curse it keeps the Geeksquad very busy.
Last week it was trying to download Chairgun into my computer, it kept refusing to do so time after time, as it has with past laptops I have purchased in the last couple years. I always though it was the virus protection firewall prohibiting the download.
Wanting to show the Geek squad the problem, I demonstrated to them how I was unsuccessfully doing it, and you guessed it it downloaded perfectly.
They tried to be consoling and said perhaps it was my Satalite connection, at least they are diplomatic about it.
Now all of this would certainly drive a man to drink much more than waiting for the arrival of a new toy.

Roachcreek
Don’t feel bad most old people have troubles with these computer do hickeys 😆
Four or five days straight of Stoly would be a bit much for my nerves and my body I fear Bogman.

RC, that potato whiskey might come in handy to steady your nerves until the Haley is in your hands! It’ll help get your mind in sync with the phenomenon that everything is in slow motion when you’re expecting a gun delivery.
If Jack has trouble signing in, he needs to be sure “cookies” are enabled in his web browser. While generally a good idea to avoid these potentially bad bits of computer implants, this web site uses them for the sign-in process.
you know the truck is going to pull up to your gate , and wont be able to get in, and then take it back to the ditribution center .
Damned GREAT news.
I’m gonna sit here RC and hold my breath till your first post. PLEASE HURRY! 😆 😆 😆
Let’s get him signed up, and then Roach can have some feed back from the maker, of this fine weapon.
Looking forward to your review! By the way, I think I might be moving in with you…It’s not fair…you having all the fun alone! 😎
Jon has a ton of trigger time. Im about to take mine apart and replace the orings. And i might play with the springs a bit to up the power. Imlooking for about 1200 fps.
