I may be wrong as never done it my self but from what I understand you still require the export paperwork for the scope. The assumption is any night vision scope with out the paperwork is restricted and being exported illegally. If you buy them new for export the required documentation is provided from the manufacture and is the proof you require to show the scope is under mil spec. Then the exporter just fills in the custom forms. Many US sold scopes don’t come with the paperwork as there is no need for it in the US domestic market.

There are import restrictions on exporting these to Sweden from the US. So you may find most people not willing. You can buy a export model with a downgraded tube from dealer with there willing to sort the paperwork out for you.

If your after cheap night vision in Sweden you may be best looking for a Russian manufactured item. There are no restrictions from Russian and if your lucky you may get it across the boarder with no customs chargers.

There are dealers in parts of the EU that have the correct licenses for high end US NV tubes and so can sell to you in Sweden. Though sadly you do pay through the nose for them.
