Q:

Shortened .25 Condor

Local member contacted me and wanted his barrel and frame shortened so he could still use his TT shroud for 24″ barrel.

Cut 4 5/8″ off the barrel and frame.

Barrel ended up 19.25″ long.

Notched the frame for the cocking knob. Threw in a old 75 gr barrel guided hammer I made for someone that never came thru.

Built a modified Etac-Reg for it and set the reg at 2000 psi.

Shoots preditors around 940 fps and benji domes in the 920’s.

I dont have a pic of the finished gun. going to get one from him.

Hey Max, got my compressor on order, and the down payment was 1750.00, getting one from Jim Shelden, I pay the other half next month before shipping. Still like your gun though, you sure it does not outshoot that Cricket, maybe you need to try some other pellets, did you try the JSB’s 25 gr.?

I think my new Cricket is more accurate but it could be shiny new toy syndrome.

So was accuracy spot on after the polish and shroud to barrel work? I am trying to find out. He pmed me and said it was.

Yes it is setup with a reg to shoot benji’s around 900 fps. It has a TT shroud on it.

Gun was shortened, frame and barrel. Has a 48 ci tank on it and should get 35-40 shots.

Nice rifle, tell us more does it have a reg. shroud ?

folks, this is my rifle Doug did for me. I am thinking of selling it to fund some other toys not to mention a .25 Cricket I just bought last week

Doug since did the bigger tank on it as well. Updated pic:

Damn must of missed that one…

SEXY BEAST! The rifle, not you Doug.

Brought back gun today because of accuracy. Was grouping 3/4″-1″ at 30 yds with benji domes or preditors.

Barrel was a lose fit to the barrel busing in the shroud. Barrel measured .622″ and I stuck a LW blank in that measures .634″and it was lose also. So I put a o ring grove in the barrel that was only .165″ deep instead of .195″ that I would have normally put. I put a 90d o ring in it.

So now it is centered in the shroud and should take care of the problem. Also polished the crown just to make sure it was good.

Now the gun is done and all pieces mounted and coated.

Very Nice!
And the spring you sent is doing a very good job! Perfect weight. 😀

No I wear cotton gloves when I tig weld. They let you know when it’s to hot by leaving a mark.

Nice work.

Those aren’t burned on fingerprints I hope? LOL

Nice work Doug! 😎
