FWB 300 CLONE!!! it’s a BS4!!
Just thought I’d show you guys a springer I’m tuning. It’s a BS4, which is a clone of a FWB 300. Not a terrible clone, just not as good as it could have been. There’s some parts I’m going to have to modify, and one part I’m going to have to completely remake. It’s been fun so far- thankfully it’s a good enough clone that the FWB exploded diagrams work with it. I’m tuning it myself because a) I like to tinker and b) no one wants to touch it as far as tuning is concerned. No worries though!! I’m not done, but here’s some pics for your enjoyment!
Everything disassembled and bagged. You can see the recoil slide, cocking lever, trigger group minus internals and the main body on the left:

Spring Comparison, the new one from Airgun Headquarters is on top:

Seal comparison… you can see how poor the stock one (on right) is…

Another seal comparison…

Another shot of the same seal:

The seals are as-is when I pulled them from the gun… geeze. no wonder I could see the pellet flying to the target before I stripped this down. all the lube was gummed up, or just plain missing. If you notice the recoil rail is missing paint, that’s because it was covered in rust… I’ve since cleaned it off. Don’t know how I’m going to paint it. I might paint the whole thing in duracoat, and not have to worry about it ever… If anyone has any questions or insight, or any machinists would like to help me out… please let me know!!! I can pay! I’ll be updating this as soon as I get more work done!
