10 lbs. should hold the rifle stationary enough. But take my 2nd wife for example…everyone else did. I lost all respect for mankind…I had to, but them??? I mean, after the first time, it just wasn’t worth the effort. Talk about a two and a half car garage ❗

However, a 10 pounder ain’t for no sissy 😕

10 lb. gun is hard to shoot off hand for me.

I went out with this one girl one night, and whipped out my dick in her face, I swear, she said “is that your dick?” I said “no its from Bobbys’ rent a center.”

Maw,

It is 10 lbs.

When my wife and I got married, she was so naive.

The morning after our wedding night, I got out of bed naked and went to the bathroom.

When I returned she was crying, I asked her why, she pointed at my dick and said” we used it all up”.

Which was better than the wife before her, she pointed at my dick and asked who I though I could satisfy with that, I replied,

“me.”

I was figuiring 8.6 pounds for the SS, scope and bi-pod.

Roachcreek, What is the weight of your carbine?

P.S. Roachcreek, as far as my dick goes it was bright orange the other day, so I went to the doctor to see what the problem was, when he saw it he was quite shocked, he says, “what the hell do you do all day. SO, I told him I get up go to work, come home, watch pornos and the get me a bag of Cheetos.

Well mine can within reason, by using different spacers that Doug supplied with the valve, I can get Kings down to 900 FPS or so and I can do that with lower fill pressures.

But I don’t play with it much at lower velocities when I have a FX 500 Carbine doing it so better as far as ergonomics and accuracy and as a repeater.

Well it sounds like I maybe able to shoot Eun Jins then. I like the six rings too, last time I shot the seven rings my scope was broke and I don’t know what they shoot like yet, my concern is on a 14 in. barrrel .25, is too much power, I would like to shoot lighter pellets also, can Dougs valve be turned down some for lighter stuff.

Maw,

Regarding Dougs valve and short barrels.

I was shooting a 23 inch dechoked barrel using a Airarcher valve set up, which was a heavier hammer and spring and the Airarcher valve return spring in my 25 LBT using a 56 grain bullet.

At the same time I had a 17 inch barrel and the same valve set up and got considerably less velocity.

I had Doug build me the valve that uses the existing valve body and put it in my rifle using the 17 inch barrel, I like to call it Dougs 2nd generation vlave.

What I achieved by this was I got the same velocity out of the 17 inch barrel that I had gotten out of the 23 inch barrel.

I cut my barrel on my FX Royale 4.5 inches and went from 885 to 830, so I lost a little more than 10 FPS per inch.

Now Jerry, about shooting heavy loads, that unfortunately is a product of age, as we get older not only can we not turn over as large a particle of gravel when we piss in the backyard at night, we no longer can shoot a fly off the wall at 25 feet.

But then as Eddie Murphy so eloquently put it, we don’t get hard when the wind blows either.

Now there are things that as old men we can do, like purchse “HIB”, hard ons in a bottle, and tho it will give us wood of the yester years, it still does nothing for velocity unfortunately. 😆

But the gals will love us for it. 😆

Perhaps in the future years and technolgy to follow, knowing full well none of us here need such thing yet, they will be able to reseal us.

Of course none of us old guys on this forum have that trouble, an even if we did we could blow on our thumbs real hard and get back to normal in a heartbeat, so I am speaking of guys like on the Adventurers forum. 😛

And if that does not work, we can always stand on our heads and get it pointing in the right direction again.

Or did I miss the point here again.

For the heavy slugs, I’d be more pessimistic than 10fps per inch when making a big cut. I have no empirical data but the limited feedback I have from guys trying to shoot slugs in short barreled guns is not good.

I think pellets can be driven just fine in short guns as the lighter pellets accelerate faster, you just give up efficiency and some ultimate (maybe excessive power).

Good question. For slugs it about 100 fps for 7 rings in 24″ barrel. Never shot one that I would sell with anything other than slugs.

My valve that has need massaged some pushes JSB’s around 1400 fps.

Yes, 24 to a 14 in. barrel I must think this out and test my 24 at differant pressures to see if the build would be feasable to me or not. Dyotat how much faster does your valve push over the stock one?

At least 10 fps per inch. There is a “STANDARD” number but that number isn’t “ALWAYS”.

I forget now but i think the rule of thumb was like 15-20 per inch. In my Rapid, i only lost 10 per inch. My rapid went from 940 to 910 fps with the lose of 3″s

Around a 100 fps. 10 fps per inch is normal. I added 9″ and gained 90+ fps.

So 24″ to 14″?
