Too late for me to change to 7mm, 308 barrel already ordered and received, plus I already have hundreds of various 308 bullets already, plus have .309 Mold already and planning to cast more with a couple hundred pounds of tire weight lead ready. Not planning to slug barrel, just going 309.
Have 120 grainers to 155 grainers, all types, flat nose, round nose, wadcutter, partial rounded but flat tip, hollow points, and more HPs on the way too.
John Bowman talked me into the 308 before Jack did the 7mm. Loved your videos, learned lots. Since then have ordered two carbon fiber tanks and a shoebox 4500.
I’m a long range buff, so wish I had known the BC was better and 7mm was an option, but I will be thrilled to get what I get when the 308 comes. Planning a hog hunt in HI with it, and maybe with my 45 if it gets built in time for the trip in March. Likely will limit myself to head shots inside 50 yards with the 308 and maybe only broadside double lungers out to 75 yards. Will be travelling with a 17 Cu ft CF tank and using a shoebox.
I’d like to pick your brain about trajectory, curious how many inch drop to expect from 100 , 150 , 175 and 200 yards with the 308? Am wanting to pick up a multi- reticle scope that is applicable, perhaps muzzle- loader is similar? my e-mail is mclaughlinandy@yahoo.com

Seriously, you might wanna reconsider the 308. The 7mm shoots the same cast bullet weights as the 308 but the 7mm has a much higher BC. The 308 is a fun caliber but i have to believe the 7mm is even more fun.
I think I’m gonna go for it. At least HALFWAY….lol

Suppose an accurate, powerful 10mm air revolver were released? The way airguns are blowing-up in innovation, popularity and performance, I wouldn’t be so surprised if that happened…….

Well, John Bowman has the only one right now. I talked to the Haleys the weekend John was there, they were working on both the 7MM and a 30 caliber that duplicates the 300 Whisper, 250@1000 FPS, both were very accurate, and both were very long with 42 inch barrels.
He is getting in the 1 inch range or less at 180 yards.
Just takes money. Right now I have a Ranger 45 and the 25 Scandalous, so I doubt I need anything inbetween.
I believe you can change your order if they have not ordered the materials for your rifle yet, meaning you have not sent money for the materials yet.
