THE EDGUN LIST …..MY EXPERIENCE…..FACT or FICTION
I am not really one to make a fuss or ruffle feathers….But I am for sure the Kid at the back of the class room that will
ask the teacher the one question he does want to hear….so here is my story.
Take it for what it worth….It is just my experience….In fact I am NOT upset or pissed…..BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!
(unfortunately this rant is based on “Internet information”…..and not actual FACE to FACE conformation…so again take it for what its worth)
Who knows… I could be COMPLETELY Wrong……but……
So……To all those “ON THE LIST”
I can Honestly Say I have NO Clue as to how this works….I must be to simple to understand…
But if you send enough emails and POST it on this Forum you will at least get a response form Tony.
I am sure he is a great guy…and Busy….
My Only conclusion is “The Dog ate the List” or at lease the one my name Was or Should have been on.
In other posts on this forum Edgun Customers have clearly stated that They were Put On the LIST IN NOV 2011 and received the “MAGIC EMAIL” for this shipment of precious EDGUNS…
And that some other Edgun Customers have Publicly Posted “They are passing” on the R3 Edgun Standard .22 they were offered by Tony in his recent emails…..
As a final thought until ” I GET the Email ”
It appears that the “EDGUN LIST” in “DYNAMIC and Flexable” and NOT A True LINEAR Collection of Names…

I just came from Miami with a minivan full of Edguns, I understand that you are excited but 9 emails about 1 per hour is an overkill, would you agree?
However you reached the goal – I did not plan to answer any emails but made an exception for you!
Based on your spot in the waiting list and short shipment of .22 Standards the answer is probably no (unless everyone else refuses shipment, but this does not seem to be the case).
Let me see what I can do.

Synopsys is perhaps the least worthy person on this forum to deserve an Edgun. Yet, he plays by the unwritten rules, and good things happen. Buying an Edgun is an art:
1) You must know exactly what you want, BEFORE you order.
2) Order it once, avoid changes, and quietly wait.
3) Use as few words as possible in your order, be exact).
4) Never, never, never….”bug” Tony with emails asking for status, updates, questions.
5) Be polite! As I mentioned, there are cultural sensitivities involved here. Business transactions are done differently in Eastern Europe.
6) Tony is incredibly busy. Treat him right, and good things happen!
7) Cause Tony grief, and you may cease to exist in his world.
8) Don’t bother him. If there’s a question, he will contact you.
Synopsys is a prime example of this wisedom. The best part of him as a man ran down his mother’s leg! He is a walking example of good reasons for third trimester abortions. He breathes through his mouth. One of his eyes “wanders” and you never know which one to look at. His zipper is continually undone. His mother has a “make no contact” restraining order against him. Then he wrote back with one word…
“Done.”

With the above being said, I do agree getting a straight answer out of Tony is like pulling teeth, I had some communication problems as well.
I agree, I don’t think the list gets filled in sequential order as it should be.
Guys….we have absolutely no control on how Ed and Tony control the list. Ed trusts Russians to distribute his equipment in all his markets. That’s his privilege and his right.
If he so decides, he can stop all shipments of Edguns to the U.S. It’s not like he’ll miss the sales. Buying an Edgun is a privilege, not a right. Bitch, piss, and/or moan…and you may end up on the bottom of the list. My suggestion is to treat Tony with respect and dignity and good things will hapen. There is a cultural difference at play here, and the “Customer is always right” factor does not apply.
It’s Ed’s business, and he runs it the way he wants. It’s Tony’s list, and he manages it the way he wants. We have no say in that.
If we don’t like how this sales organization is managed, our only recourse is to buy another brand.

I work with customers on a regular basis and the ones who are a pain in the ass get different treatment then the ones who treat me with respect.

Emailing Tony every hour and posting here with your disappointments is getting old. We understand and share your disappointment – shit happens- WE ALL HOPE you receive your edgun. enough said.
Like it or not, buying an Edgun is a limited privilege, not a right.
Ed is not doing this to become rich. This is his passion and hobby. He doesn’t even patent his ideas! He makes and sells his guns as he pleases, where, when, and to whom he pleases.
There are no Capitalist “maximize sales/profit” rules applied here. He could have moved his manufacturing to China a long time ago, and flooded the U.S. market with Edguns by now.
It is US demanding his product, not HIM begging us to buy them!
I’m not apologizing for him. The above thoughts are simply my observations over years of reading his posts, his philosophy, his family comes first values, and watching his videos.
I don’t care what Tony makes per gun, it’s not half what he deserves for the grief he puts up with. He drove 800 miles to speed up delivery for you! He could just as easily waited and had them delivered to his door via 3rd class parcel post.
Did one person thank him for his effort? Anyone?

I’ve owned two Edguns. Ed said he would put my name on a Lelya on this last shipment and have Tony send it to me!
How was I to know he would charge me for it?
If the price goes down to $1000, perhaps I can sell enough blood to buy one.
