Lathe is a PM 1640 VS. Mill is a Bridgeport 9×42. I need to get new mill. Mine is tired and I would just set it up for drilling bushings and stuff like that.

80,

I was supposed to pm you to tell you to watch the video as that’s how your parts are being machined. But i figured you would see it.

Every time something .257 gets posted I have an intercom in my house that sounds the alarm so don’t sweat it 😀

Nice stuff Doug! That’s one helluva valve stem/top hat!

quote 80 GRIT:

Awesome pics and video and since my .257 is being built by Doug I have to admit I got a great big boner watching the video 😛

Well, truth be told, at least it was a boner 😳

LOL!

I had to look it up myself – I just knew that knife’s spelling was wrong and wanted to mess with him for posting a correction that wasn’t correct.

What Lathe and Mill are you using?

Yes that’s what I meant. That’s what happens when your smart phone thinks it is smarter than you.

Did you mean Diekem, I don’t think com would help much. 😆

Those pic’s really make me wish I was allowed to work in my shop again! 😥

And did you mean DYKEM? 😆

Funny you noticed. It is some kind of topical that the medic used at work on my hand. It looked like blue dykem I use on metal.

I tried to cut my finger off at work with my knife using it to try and spread a pin on a 100 amp plug at work. Sad thing is I kept telling myself I’m going to cut myself and I did.

Nice video, do you recall what Mill and Lathe he is using?

I hope the purple around the wound on Doug’s hand is some kind of topical treatment and not an infection.

nice video ! love to see a machinist in action.
