5.47 vs 5.50 mm head
While waiting for my Edgun R3 .25 to come, I finally got a chance to shoot @50 yrds with my .22 standard. I only had 10 min to set up the target and shoot before leaving for a trip. I compared JSB Heavy with 5.47 mm and 5.50 mm head size for accuracy, in a 6-shot group. The first group (left) is 5.47 mm head size, grouping ~0.617” with one flyer (shot #1 of the day) and ~0.468” without that flyer. The second group (right) is 5.50 mm head size, grouping ~0.410” with one flyer (shot #4 of the group, distracted by wife calling from the garage for loading luggage). The 5.50 mm head size shows better accuracy in this gun. This is consistent with shooting at 30 yrds done earlier. Unfortunately, my recent orders on JSB Heavy from PA all have ~5.47 mm head size (>85%) in the tin… bad, bad, and bad.
I hope my new .25 will shoot better than .22 and not pellet picky.

Good to know.
Anyone have the details about how to acquire one of these head sizing instruments I’ve seen the videos about? I will need one for .25 cal.
Looks like it matters so I would like to have one.
Thanks,
