I am in the middle of a move and the gun is packed away right now.
I don’t have a final price because I traded an Edgun R3 .22 standard for it. And do not regret it at all.

Ya that’s what I was thinking I want a mk4 send me a pic of your set up? And how much did it all cost?

Hoot speaks the truth about Daystates quality and accuracy, I almost bought an air ranger or a wolf but was put off by the weight so I got a MK4 is and I would sell an edgun before selling my Daystate. Hoot hit the nail on the head about the noise, it depends on your living situation and your neibors. My MK4 on low is way to loud for my back yard, I lived in a rural area and the closest neibor was 50 yards away.On high the gun was loud enough I could hear the ehco off a house 200 yards away. I got a used ldc and now with the gun on high my daughter will shoot it from inside the house and I can not hear it outside from 20 feet away. Because the gun is electronic there is no noise from the guns internals making the gun basically silent but now when the pellet hits a bird the thwack is now more like a loud pop and dogs will bark sometimes.

At the top of this very page is a yellow colored link that says
The Yellow Forum

click on it. It will take you to the Yellow Forum. There you must look at the top of the page for “Yellow Classifieds”, click on that. Then, on that page, just scroll down until you see the ad for the Air ranger. Sometimes it starts with “WTS” (Wanted to sell)

H 😯 :shock:t

PS: The 35 fpe can be adjusted up in power.

We’re at sorry I don’t know how to really work this forum yet?

35fpe Ranger on the Yellow now for under $1k…. dont know the seller, but just giving an FYI.

Very true maybe if my taxs give me a good amount of money back I will take the plunge to a daystate. Accuracy out to 100 yards with a air rifle is insane

Any “killer gun” by Daystate is not cheap. However, it is one of the few pcp rifles that you will probably keep for a lifetime. You get what you pay for.

I’ve also heard the day state mk4 is a killer gun

The Air Rangers appear on the Yellow from time to time. It is not a daily appearance, and requires some patience.

Daystate is a premium rifle, and the Ranger is a manual rifle, not the electronic one.

The step up from a Ranger to the electronic Wolf is expensive, and the Ranger performs with accuracy and endurance. So, not a lot of Ranger owners offer theirs for sale.

I would post a WTB ad on the Yellow and seek out sellers.

My opinion was not a guarantee that you would get immediate satisfaction on a need to purchase one. Short of a multi-shot Edgun, the Air Ranger is top on my list of “must own” rifles.

Be patient. They DO come up for sale.

So you suggest a 25 air ranger . I heard it get about 20-40 shots off one tank. And how loud is it? Like compared to marauder? Could you send me links to the ones in the yellow forum. I wouldn’t mind getting used

I can’t find any on the yellow forum

The Huntsman is a converted .22, and I don’t believe .25 caliber is really effective unless the rifle’s valve is designed to handle the heavy pellets involved. Most makers, Daystate included, simply put a .25 barrel on one of their .22 rifles, and advertise a lower fps/fpe than it could/should be. About the only modification I’ve noted is they make the barrels a few inches longer to compensate for the underpowered valves.

I have the Daystate Air Ranger in .22 and 50 fpe. I also have a .25 Marauder. The Daystate, with 21gr pellets, Kodiaks or Barracudas, hits harder than the .25, so I suggest the Air Ranger. The new ones are reduced in price, and I’ve noted several used ones available on the Yellow.

The Daystate shroud is not really effective, even with the Air Stream V attached. It really needs a Hugget or a PAG over-sized shroud to get it quiet.

Don’t even think of going lighter than 21gr in the 50 fpe Ranger unless you reduce the fps. There’s an accuracy penalty pushing 18gr pellets too fast.

The 50 fpe .22 Ranger is an air hog, but it’s also a hot bitch that packs a serious punch. You can reduce the fps, and resulting muzzle blast, without much problem, but I’d rather go the extra to quiet it down, and live with the extra air consumption and use the biggest .22 pellets I can find. All the better if you get it in .25 calibler to begin with.

That’s my experience and my opinion. Mileage may vary with different owners.
