Q:

Has anyone heard about the Cricket in .35 cal. (9 mm)?

Hi guys:

I have been reading this forum for a while now, with great interest.
I heard the Cricket is being manufactured in the .35 cal. (9 mm). Has anyone heard about that?
Assuming the powerplant was similar to the .25 cal.: What should be the expected power level of the .35 cal.?
Any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks!!

Edgun 9mm isnt just a rumor. Ed has YouTube vid showing prototype valve and test fire. 9mm with a 70ish grain pellet around 900fps will be appx 125+ fpe.

Lots of rumors…

I read somewhere that the Cricket is going to be available in 35 cal. (9 mm), did not hear anything about 30 cal. The 35 cal. magazine supossedly holds 8 pellets. Also read somewhere that there was a delay in production because of regulatory requirements/problems for the bigger caliber (??). Also read somewhere that the Edgun was developing the same caliber (9 mm). Rumors, rumors…

What is less a rumor and more a fact (but still I can only recall what I have read, since I don’t own any of these guns) is that for the traditional calibers (22, 25) in maximum power versions, the Edgun is slightly more powerful than the Cricket.

In 25 the Cricket yields 40-45 fpe or so… If the powerplant of the 35 cal. is similar, it should give something between 60-70 fpe?? What say you??

Thnxs!!

How does the power compare to the Edgun? I am not trying to start a war just figure out how well a 30 cal might work.
I would say my Edgun R3 long .25 could easily be turned up for more FPS
I am sure I could get over 1000 fps easy. So would mid 800’s or low 900’s in 30 cal be to hard to get probably not.
I really like the idea!

Hi

I called a local rifle store here about a month ago to ask if they had the cricket standard in stock bud the store owner told me I have to wait a month untill they get delivered.

He did told me he had a compact and .30 caliber 😯 so I could already have a look and feel of the rifle. I told him that I will come when the new shipment arrives because its a long drive.

I assumed he made a mistake with the calibers… and ment to say .25 bud now your post comes up.
month is more then over and I am very excited to get one 🙂
