Hey guys , my name is Afi, and i have just got into the PCP world by buying my first PCP AAA .25 Condor with 18” barrel and TTTA from Tony ! A piece of art i must say .

Fitted with a BSA Contender 4.16/40 RGBE 7cm above the barrel .
High performance tophat was fitted last night .

Been always used to Gamo’s, RWS especially in .177 caliber .

The gun will be mainly used for hunting and target shooting .

I have a million questions 😀 and a lot of money to invest in upgrades ,

What power should i use it with when shooting regularly ? and what is the Zeroing range that you guys recommend at 8X .

Any upgrades u recommend ?

It’s all of 34 F or 1 C here at noon today with a slight breeze and partial sunshine for a change.

I don’t know about temperature and nitrogen tanks. A few guys use it as they get a lot if fills and I think a little more power. I use air and the ShoeBox compressor that puts out 4500 PSI. I have been using a fairly portable 17 cu.ft. 4500 PSI carbon fiber tank called the Guppy. Just target shooting I hook it up through a good size regulator as a tethered constant pressure. That works great for me.

Because I just bought a TalonTunes .25 Condor I also bought a 97 cu.ft. 4500 PSI tank called the Great White. I should have enough for several trips to the range now. I used to use Hill pump at the range but now I can shoot uninterrupted. Actually, the pump was good exercise and helped get my blood pressure under control.

The ShoeBox compressor requires a little attention for lubrication every few hours but gives you a lot of independence.

Dude ,dont tell me about cold , its freezing here , spring has begun today ,and for the first time i find it warm 2 C , hunting is currently forbidden , but during the season we find rabbits , wood pidgeons , duck .. In a private property with the permission of farmers (pest control) The tank sounds very interesting , is there a big difference between shooting when its below zero and above zero ?

Do you have an option to rent a 6000 PSI nitrogen tank ❓
of course you can’t fill the AF tank much above 3000.
Many have found better accuracy at 2600-2700 fills.
A large 3000 PSI tank would give an number of good fills but more is better.
The ShoeBox compressor can be ordered as 3000 or 4500 PSI and maybe you could special order at 4000.
Because pellets and I are cheep, my hunger for air demanded a ShoeBox compressor and of course a couple carbon fiber tanks now from Joe Brancato.

I’m just beginning to shoot my new TT AAA .25 Condor as It’s still cold here.

What kind of weather do you have and what do you hunt ❓

I shoot Benjiman domes at around 980fps.

Thats with a roughly 22″ non-choked barrel. I cut the choke off and recrowned a 24″ barrel.

I just use a standard hi-flow condor valve and a 75gram brass hammer I made from a bushing I bought at ACE.
PW is somewhere around 8… I havent looked at it in quite a while.

i would love to get one if i found a place to fill it up for me 😀 In Norway ,they dont fill tanks over 4000 psi .. How do you fill yours ? Please dont tell me u have a pump:( cause it takes ages ! What tank do you have ?

Try to find a friendly Fireman, ask all of your friends. Most larger fire departments will have fill stations. Even at 4000 psi with a 66 cf tank you would get many fills. If you cant do that then a Shoebox compressor will fit the bill. If you are stuck using a hand pump you will soon loose interest.

Cheers guys ! Riffraff , do you recommend benjamins for 18”? i do use jsb kings at power 7 but i have no clue what ftps it gives , what power do you shoot your gun at ?

As far as sighting distance goes, first determine the range of targets you expect to encounter.

I typically shoot squirrels from 35 to 70 yards. That seems to be the range they always appear.

So i sighted at 30 yards. My pellet is higher than point-of-aim from 31-60 yards and about 1.5″ low at 70. Those are results experienced by me, not copied from a chart or ballistics program.
I shoot Benjiman domes at around 980fps.

You can basically hold on the shoulder of a standing squirrel at 50 yards, dead on 30 or 60 yards, and a bit over his head at 70.

You will get used to it, and become deadly once you settle in on a sight range. People that constantly change their zero range are always fighting the holdover. Stick to a setting and run with it.

Welcome!
If you get a 4500 PSI air tank you will enjoy it much more!
