Q:

Gidday from Downunder

I’ve been lurking and learning from this great forum for ages and finally managed to register.

Fired my first pellets through a good German springer in 1965, went the powder burner trail for many years but have back into airguns for several years now.

The gun safe currently houses a couple of springers in .22 including my nice old Weihrauch HW97K. Also own a Marauder in .25cal and an Evanix Windy City in .357cal.

It’s damn hard to get a Talon over here and customs regs, customs agent’s fees, etc, make it prohibitively expensive and complicated to import just one rifle.

I found a gun shop that does import a few so placed an order for a Condor and a spare 12″ barrel. Won’t bore you with the details of my project rifle yet. I’ll wait until I have it in hand.

The bad news? I placed my order in November and am still waiting. Told you our Customs regs were complicated!

Looking forward to being part of the family here and tweaking my Condor when it arrives.

Welcome to the dark side! How are you going to charge your Talon?
Good luck with it all.

Same way I charge my other PCPs, good old hand pump 🙂

Although, I have mine turbocharged.

I’ve had an adapter made and plug low pressure air (20psi) into the intake of the pump. This cuts down on the amount of strokes per fill by about 50%.

Hey Harley: Welcome Aboard!

You have been waiting for 5 months for a Talon and you are crying about it?

Hah! I waited over 14 months for an Edgun Matador! You could probably have gotten one quicker there!

I DO feel your pain and you will be happy with the Talon when it finally arrives.

The guys here will help you get any needed improvements or mods; all you have to do is ask!

How about parts and accessories? Several guys are making some great accessories. Will you have much trouble receiving parts from an individual ❓

Most parts are not a problem, just as long as it isn’t a barrel or receiver it doesn’t require a firearms import permit or customs safety inspection.

I’ve already ordered and received some accessories from Bullseye Bill in anticipation.

That is a smart way to go, ordering the AF pcp as a kit.
