How short can it be made and still achieve maximum effect?
Assuming a 12″ Barrel. What is the absolute minimum it has to stick out of the frame? What if one had Tony make a custom barrel? Would 10″ make it where you could have the whole thing IN the frame? Need SHORT/QUIET…Btw this is a Condor frame. Thank you in advance for any/all opinions. One day I’ll be calling you Tony.

Considering removing some inches front the front portion of the Condor shroud, and using a fitted extension moderator. The additional moderator should fit flush with the OEM shroud, but give you effective sound reduction, especially if the mid shroud, under the forearm, is properly vented into the forearm.
A long empty shroud is a waste of time and materials. A lot of the “drop in” baffles will not slow and control the air flow as effectively as the custom built moderators that are sealed on both ends and designed to both push air back into the empty shroud, as well as remove the blast with the sealed system within the moderator.
Just my experience…the Condor is a beast, and simply using a long, empty shroud is not an effective answer. Modify it’s length, put an effective moderator on the end, vent the OEM shroud, AND add some internal baffles if they will fit…even if nothing more than 1″ flat washers and spring spacers.
What you want is possible, but may require more than simply adding something inside the OEM shroud. I’ve never heard of a self contained modifier being fitted inside the Talon/Condor shroud. It would be too small in diameter to really be effective. That would require a well built shroud extension moderator. I’d cut off the same number of inches from the factory shroud, as the new moderator added, to achieve neutral gain in OAL shroud length. If the add-on moderator is not too long, there should be enough empty shroud in the Condor to do that. Just measure how much empty depth exists from the end cap to the barrel tip. That much you can remove.
Be certain the front barrel bushing is vented so the excess air pressure can escape back into the mid-shroud vents into the forearm.
