70 yard groups with the 25 cal marauder
i decided to pull back another 20 yards ,,to 70 and see what this 25 maurader would do after the tunning … and WOW ! 😆
here are some 3 shot groups per circle ..groups with a dime taped on the target for size
i was going to clean the barrel after shooting today …. on second thought i will just leave it alone ! 😉
the first shots were the 3 above the circle on the second one over -on the bottom after that .. i had the poi down …. the final 3 shots were top left 3 dead center … all shots were with 25.4 match kings

That is incredible shooting. I would hang on to that rifle. You have some great skills in shooting pcps.
I took this gun out today … it’s had the same tune it for years … I have never touched the inside’s since moding it new out of the box and it is still shooting great with the same correcting using the mildot scope starting off at 3300 psi … great gun ! I must say ….
OK, I’m one of the newest whores for the 25 M-Rod. I took delivery of mine Saturday, haven’t even touched it yet, and it’s slinging Benji domes at an average of 830 fps producing 42.5 ftlb in a .33″ group at 25yards. JSB kings at 870 fps making 42.7 ftlb in a .28″ group at the same 25 yards. Moved it out o 40, and the JSB’s still shot .28″ groups.
I couldn’t help it, was trying to wait on the Condor SS, and broke down. Plus I have never owned a repeater, so I caved, but glad I did. I think they made a smart decision to use the Green Mountain barrels. Did I mention it was quite neighbor friendly, I really expected it to be much louder, as my Talon in 25 is.
Sorry, not trying to jack your thread, that was some fine shooting there. now I just need to find more space.

I saw that AirGun Depoe had remanufactured Mrods at 335 in 25 cal.
I figured at $335. what could go wrong.
I ordered one, turned out they did not have them and they notified me after about a two hour span and refunded my Paypal.
I kept my integrity or at least what is left of it.

OK green mountain makes the barrel not crosscrap sooooo there is your excuse to by it ….. or how about this ….. buy the lother walther barrel and shroud from jim 23.8 length $220 …{4.8 inches longer than stock } then buy the longer complete air tube from jim around $150 ….. ok now you get the rest of the parts threw addicted2airguns … you can also get a custom made action from another guy for I think around $200
then get the trick laminate thumbhole stock from discorus $ 175

I’m curious what the bulls would look like if he shot three shots at the bull from a full charge to needing a fill.
Then would the first three shots be on the bull?
How many three shot groups would?
I mention this not to slight the OP but I do not think they are representative of what a untethered gun would do as the bell curve and velocity variance comes into play.
Many are reading “tune” when they should be reading “tethered”.
OK here is how I shot that group the 44cf tank was teathered to the gun BUT ! I did fill it then shut the tank valve off because my tank was not regulated ,and had over 4000 psi in it … now I have shot that gun quite a bit ,and I know what it does as the shot count goes up / pressure drop’s
starting off 7 shots almost 1 mil dot to the right ….. then a 1/4 mil dot for 4 shots now we are dead on for around 8 shots … then it’s time to hold over/ tearing up as the shot count goes up … that is how I shot that string ….like I said before village idiot tune …. with a EVIL sniper shooting 😈 HA ! HA !

We all know you don’t like crosman and for good reason. As much as I like my .25 Marauder and would recommend one to a friend, crosman’s quality control, or lack of interest in quality with some of their product lines, is most disappointing. One of my friends is going through the crosman two-step trying to get a .22 Marauder that shoot well. I have told him to buy an AirArms S510 and be done with it. He really like the Marauder platform and understands how to tune them well. He also likes the magazines. They are good and cheap compared to AA, FX, etc..
Would it really be that difficult to put a good barrel in their .22 M-rod??? Of course not! That’s we don’t like them as a company.
My first “powerful” BB gun was a crosman 760 with an alumoinum receiver and solid plastic stock and forearm. It was my sister’s boyfriends. He gave it to me to shoot so I’d leave them alone. That worked everytime! 😉 My mid 1980’s 1377 American Classic has been my buddy for all these years! It breaks my heart to have to bag on crosman.

Fate intervened yesterday and prevented me from becoming a forked tongue air gun whore.

Mine is tuned and I get 12 shots before impact changes . That’s at 100yds. If I do my part it will shoot moa at that range. At 30yds I can get 24 shots before my impact moves. The good thing is when they are sighted in the hold the accuracy. No adjustment needed.
It does that tethered, which is impressive.

I second the request. Man if you can yours to do that I sure would like to give it a try. I shoot the .22 Marauder though but I am sure your tune would work the same.

The green mountain barrels on the marauder 25 are bad ass,
