Q:

.22 cal Cricket Standard shot string

Hi,

Just wanted to share a shot string with ya. According to my cf tank’s guage, I filled my gun to 3000psi = 207 bar. I shot it down until the last shot fell off the reg according to the tight ass shot-to-shot string. The last shot at 884 may or may have not been on the reg. I don’t know. I would say the ending pressure is between 205-210. 40 shots total. I when I get my tank filled, I’m going to fill the gun to 250-255 bar. I expect to get about 70 shots.

I’m using jsb 15.9’s straight out of the can. I lubed them with Finishline Krytech bicycle chain wax lube.

Start Pressure 207 bar

891 889 891 887
889 890 888 889

890 888 892 888
892 890 891 887
888 891 888 884

The first shot is always high. That’s just the way it is. Maybe the reg needs to burp or something. And it’s always 15 fps high. Weird??

Beside that glitch, the reg on this gun is something else. I can’t wait to see if a higher starting pressure will affect the consistency. It is not as efficient as my Edgun .25 cal long gun (10 -12 fps extreme spread) but it’s has a more consistent shot to shot.

When I get my tank topped off, I’ll post a compete shot string starting from 255 bar. I really want to get at least 70 shots because I have five mags and it would work out perfectly. I think I will. If not, I will top it off a few bars higher.

One other variable. I replaced the factory hammer spring adjuster with an adjuster sold by Steve at TopGun. It has a guide and that may have helped with the consistency. I don’t know for sure but the shot cycle is much smoother. No more annoying twang.

thanks for looking in,
Gabe G.
