Need advise- Talon SS, 12"bbl, 22 or 25 with Condor tan
I have a Talon SS, a 12″ 22cal bbl and a 25cal bbl.
I will be using a Condor Hi/Flow tank/valve and installing the Condor Weight.
Anyone tried / tested both set up’s?
Trying to find out which would be the best way to go for power (medium pests) and also to balance in shot count.
Just curious as to which will give the best performance (FPE) and the shot count per set up (aprox. how many shots with the 25cal set up? How many shots with the 22cal set up? Pellet weight will be about 26 – 28 grain)

I started the post with-

So, I was not totally clear, but both barrels are 12″ and the distance I will be using it will be a maximum of 50yds, which would be a rare distance for this gun, I have a Condor for longer shots, but this will be for use on my home property only and my health as it is, I am trying to make a “Condor Lite” as I am having a hard time holding the weight of a full size Condor with bi-pod, LDC, Laser, Light, Wok-Butt, Adam’s trigger guard, Adams AR Grip, and whatever else is on it. I like 22cal, but I like 25cal better for a quick dispatch. I just was not sure if it would have more power (FPE) out of a short, 12″ barrel than a 22cal would have.

25cal sounds like the way to go then…,
Did I buy the barrel from you?
I got it before the AF made 25cal barrels, it is 12″ and have had it a long time, just trying to collect parts before I start my “project”. A lot of the parts I already had as spares from when I was working and when someone mentioned 25cal, I waited for that to become a reality and did get one, used, and if it was from you, Thank You!!
.25 will geve the best power of the two regardless, 😉 but did you give the .25 bbl. length? Or did I miss it?

Wayne, that shouldn’t even be a Question .25 all the way. Bigger is Better. I have had both setups and if I am not mistaken you got that .25 barrel from me. The shot count will not vary all that much especially if your shooting 25 grain pellets. IMHO don’t even both with the .22 barrel 😯

You did get the .25 barrel from me, and it was brand new. I ordered one from AF and it got lost in the mail, so they sent me a replacement and this one showed up a week later… I am sure it was you because you won a Rangefinder from the Christmas give away on the Yellow right about the same time. I rarely forget a name. 😀
